I'm not certain, but I think that chainset uses a non-standard BB axle i.e. not square-taper/ISIS/Octalink. Might be worth checking before buying.

Main issue now is getting a whole 26" front... I used the wheel off my Rockhopper on Tuesday but that bike's kinda sentimental and I'd rather not mash it if possible...

Rick if you're still looking, there's a place on Railton Rd about halfway down that has a load of old bikes. I'm sure they'd have a front wheel for next to nothing.
Could also be useful for a cheap first polo bike as they seemed to have a lot of old mtbs.
