  • If there was a permanent newbie ebay/bike thread i would personally set it to ignore, whereas, in this thread i'm still going to read it, and possibly post advice/comments on bikes.

  • Joe I'm saying it's not relevant because the thread doesn't exist anymore. Hence this discussion is academic.

That's not how I read it:

Nothing obviously. But as I've said, there is going to be an influx of people wanting to get their bikes together so as a temporary measure we can all pool together and help each other out.
Again, as I've said, their needs are different and the stuff in here isn't relevant and *the stuff that would have gone in the that thread wouldn't be relevant to here.*

    This is all immaterial now.

  • can i set up a 'off grid polo' thread? i don't likes the modern ways you lots plays

  • yes. On the Oldies forum, please.

  • can i set up a 'off grid polo' thread? i don't likes the modern ways you lots plays

Was expecting more of rant / analogy about why you disagreed with this.

The point was also to save you lot from the lower end parts that you wouldn't be interested in. Not because I want segregation.

Just in case that didn't come through.

  • And Mark responded quite nicely to that point.

A good example being the 22t freewheel (saw the thread after it was merged, so not sure which one it was in), a lot of folks, not just beginners, are still after big freewheels because of how difficult they are to come by. Also, if a beginners' gear thread is ignored by non-beginners, how would you find out if the suggestions were good/bad? A lot of opportunities and experience would be lost thanks to a separate thread.

I know, I know, the discussion is dead.

  • irrelevant

  • No, you're irrelevant...

  • And Mark's an academic...

Oh, gee, I don't know, Joe... Maybe one of the other guys or gals will know?

  • Jose, the word in the street is that Rigida as stop making Spukniks (the cheaper 48h you could find)
so the other solution right now are:
the Halo factory wheels that Bill and Brendan are riding, you can buy them form PUSH
    or
Chukkers/deepVs that you can get from BLB
    other than no more choice

  • Gracias Ricardo... x

  • last week someone some 48h chukkers 4x laced to BLB hubs for £200, I put the link in here
so, sometimes been patience the forum can give you a surprise

  • I saw those but don't wanna pay that much... I'm a cheap bastard...
