Great write up. They should do a feature on it.
Possibly one of the most exciting things happening in cycling today.

Lovely video! Is that Clive at 1:10-1:14?
-
• #355
Awesome vid. Don't think that is Clive. Unless you're trying to wind him up Oliver, in which case, yes carry on.
-
• #356
I'm not trying to wind him up. I was watching the video straining my eyes to spot Clive in the blackness in his black kit and that was the only candidate for a spot. I couldn't imagine that Rollapaluza would miss the chance of showing all of its club members in action.

I dunno you two love winding each other up.

Nhatt is in that vid too.

Ah, no, Clive is too nice to succeed in being annoying. I, on the other hand, manage this effortlessly.
-
• #360
it's not Clive, but Jos, Nhatt, Selimski and Gus are all in there...
love that VCL guy who takes ages to get over the hurdles...that's fatigue for you

Excellent
VCL guy = Rod, think it was his first cross, so just didn't have the ballet dancer-hurdle technique down.
And now I see how that guy got a chainring to the nose @43sec

-this is my favorite though.

-this is my favorite though.Yeah, love it...he bookends the vid as he waves the good old union jack near the beginning...
it's a great screen-grab....almost poetic.

JC - that image needs to be done in oils and hung at HH for posterity.

Great video - it's all from the Go Race event so no chance of Clive spotting.
A starring role from our own James (JJS) too - he's the guy reading out the numbers as they pass the finish line.

Those willing to brave the rain can "Clive Spot" in Richmond Park tomorrow.

Naturally, it is the time of year for rutting stags. :p

I wish that I had read this before the event

Great coverage of the event in Cycling Weekly (this week a letter from two of the 'pumpkins' in the Go Race got Letter of the Week).
Also an article in the current London Cyclist.

the coverage in CW wasn't very good.
anyway, old news is good for fish n chip wrapping, start getting your skills together for next year!

For the coverage in CW, you have to consider how much prominence it was given considering that fairly big races sometimes go almost unreported. I thought it was very good coverage, and the letter today is incredibly positive, too.

About 5 pages in Cycling + (I bought it just to look for the write up). Pretty good write up.
