  • Dont tell me you're missing Bright Times??

  • Sunday, innit?

  • hell yeah i'll be there for Bright times .. honest i hadn't forgot.... honest...

  • not sure what Bright times is... but I can't really do Saturday - have a deadline at work. must work!

  • might join you guys for this.
messed up an achilles last weekend riding back from brighton and still kinda stings. if it's ok by sunday i reckon i'll come if there no objections.

  • looks like sunny, warm, and not so windy. should be good.

  • Looking good for Sunday now, but missus is working over the weekend so I'm at home on kiddy duty.

Have fun... atanz, if you're squeezing any more rides in before you go back let me know (maybe a quick jaunt up Box Hill back end of next week?)

  • the weather does indeed look perfect. nice mild temperature and a slight WSW wind. anyone else want to go?

and yeah rab, i'm up for riding anytime. maybe next weekend before or after the bridges ride. let me know!

  • Hey, I did L2B yesterday with this route
    http://dickensurl.com/bdc6/There_are_strings_said_Mr_Tappertit_flourishing_his_breadand_cheese_knife_in_the_air_in_the_human_heart_that_had_better_not_be_wibrated_Thats_whats_the_matter

69" fixed, Ditchling was painful but I made it. Lovely day, and the sea is quite warm still so make sure you go for a swim when you get to Brighton.

    Have fun.

  • funny. i was in brighton yesterday (train not bike). too bad i didn't see you.

  • i'm out :(
ankle still trashed and i don't want to make it worse.
hope y'alls have a good one.

  • too bad, Matt. hope you heal up quickly.

  • Right, is this on?

Where and when is meeting the point?

I have a GPS, too. I was the dude on the Nigel Dean on the St Margarets ride.

  • yeah its on. Sunday 9:30am-ish at the Crystal Palace. come along.

  • love that road bike... first nigel dean i've laid my eyes on.

  • i've put the route to brighton onto a garmin, so we should be fine direction-wise.

depending on which weather forecast you believe, it should be 26 degrees and sunny tomorrow. double-bottle cages, i reckon.

  • Factoid of the day: Nigel Dean is famous for apparently taking a shit in his riding cap during a race. (Source, post #8)

  • something to try tomorrow?

  • I imagine it would be quite difficult on a fixed gear... i'll leave it up to the roadies.

  • that sounds very defeatist, atanz.

  • Despite now knowing far too much about the history of The Crystal Palace I still can’t figure out where the exact meeting point is. Could somebody post the street address or a map link please.

  • there's a coffee place called St. Germain at the corner of Crystal Palace Parade and Anerly Hill.

    Cafe St Germain
    16-17 Crystal Palace Parade
    London, SE19

    9:30am

  • Just gone up turners and stopped for a pint a little off route, loving the Friday night road to the cost route, particularly the agricultural bit!

  • i'm really looking forward to sunday. i'm hoping the rest of the gang will be up for a pint en route.
