i don't desire any bikes as i already have those i could wish for. i can't think of anything that could replace my pegoretti as anything else would probably be second rate compared to it.
i have a crash damaged mercian track bike in 531c that needs renovating so it would be nice to get that up and running. -

ideally, I'd like a simon derny, but I can't afford it.

I've often thought about this. Say I won the lottery one night (I don't play, which makes this unlikely), what would I do, bike-wise?
I think I'd go to CycleFit for a full checkup, get laser-measured and order one of those steel Colnago Masters. Full Super Record kit. Swing by Condor on the way home to get fully stocked on Rapha.
Then I'd go home. The long way. The really, really long way.

Thing is right, even if I won the lottery I'd still go for something that "gets the job done" rather than uber bling. So, I'd pick top of the line but it probably wouldn't be exotic, it'd be another OTP.
If I won the lottery though I'd throw SRMs on everything and wouldn't worry about the durability of lightweight wheels :) -

it look just perfect for going around town, and doing big mileage once you change the bar into a moustache-style one.
