^ too hard to call/ref a couple of those.
Errr. That's what the goal refs had to do!
Nice diagram, Ray. Sums it up absolutely perfectly.

We did say two touches for an attacker, but never mentioned if it was defender - I would make that an own goal.
-
• #34
thats what happen with torros. i called a own goal.
-
• #35
Any chance you can email it to me Ray.
Mu usual proxies aren't helping. -

Could someone explain what checking the goalie is please.
As for the rebound off the wall and then rebound off the goalie I don't think that should be a goal.

I had one where the ball went wide of the post, rebounded off the back-wall, back through the goal, out of the D, hit a defending wheel, and rebounded into the goal. I called it goal.
(I think it was a shot from one of the Glasgow guys).

Where you ride up to a stationary goalie, and give him/her a nudge, with the intent of forcing them to leave the goal.

ray that's perfect.

body/body...mallet/mallet. while not in the possession of the ball
bit like a pick and roll in basket ball

You have IP filters at work too? Bummer.
-
• #43
Heres another one...
-
• #44
if the pass occurs behind the goal before it has passed the (reversed) goal line it is not a goal. For a goal to stand the pass has to occur goal side of play.
-
• #45
Do two touches = one pass?
-
• #46
Someone (on .ca I think) said that not being able to play the goalie, due to them not being near the ball is bullshit, as the goalie, being in goal, the focal point of the game, is ALWAYS playing the ball by sitting int he goal, so is therefore fair game to pull their mallet, nudge, push out of goal whatever. I think that is wicked. There was no goalie checking really at the weekend, and that made it a bit boring, especially for Mark, who didn't move once in one of discordia's games.

So is it two touches or one touch? Bottom right and third bottom left are one touch each.
bottom right is a defenders fuck up.
3rd bottom right is an own goal.
sorry pink bikes and black bikes are opposing teams
-
• #48
i.e. bottom right = no passes, but two touches...
-
• #49
Is defenders fuck up clear enough? Is it simply that as long as the defending team touches the ball with their mallet, the ball is back in play?
-
• #50
PS rebound off wall to back wheel goals are crap, that is not what this is about, it should be about outsmarting the goalie, not invalidating his place in the game.
true dat. but some of these did occur during a few of the games i reffed found it really hard to explain at the time...been thinking about these a bit.
