TFG have a new frame coming out in mid march. a prototype is in the window.
it has lovely smooth fillets and will be only £475.
and a nice fork crown like on the All City Nature BoyMax wanted to have a classic English Path Racer, with mount for rack and mudguard yet still fun to ride everyday, he did spend quite a bit of time figuring out how to put it together.
I'd defintely get it had I not already got an excellent bike at the moment, ah well;

We've just knocked 25% off of all Dia compe hubs here at the shop. Plus 25% off coloured profile stems and those odyssey elementary stems.

Do you get a discount on mulitple item orders?
Thinking of building wheelset of TB-14's and Dia compes, but thinking whether to buy other bits and bobs. -

I should be cheeky and see if they'd sponsor me a bike with that frameset. It looks lush and perfect for everyday, and I'm so missing having a fixed, and too broke to sort myself out.

They are overpriced as in they stock £1000+ keirin framesets but the other high end bits are the same price as anywhere else. They also have some silly priced clothing but it all looks good and are from small bespoke companies and very high quality so are obviously going to be more expensive than altura.
I think though that for useful/non-bling bits and tools TFG is cheaper than condor and even evans for a lot of things and as a one stop shop for fixed gear bits then it is the best in London.

The frame seems interesting (well it would to me, having had something similar built a year ago). The crown on that bike is really vintagey, the external sleeve on the seat cluster looks cool with shot stays... The rear bridge looks a bit weird to me, as does the bent seat stays (room for fat tyres is a good thing ... But why have shot stays if you want clearances?). Also, I wonder why Max chose fillet brazing... Does it have compact geo? On the whole it seems like a decent attempt at an own-brand do it all. Ed what's the geometry like? How much are they? Who's making them - Feather?

TFG have a good selection of frames. I'm particularly interested in the green Bob Jackson.

it have a sloped top tube, and the chainstay part is a bit odd, enough clearance for big tyres, but not so much if you want to run a larger chainring as it's not dimple.
I suspect the reason Max choose fillet brazing as he told me he's a fan of the work of Alex Singer/Rene Herse et all, of whom tend to use fillet braze, perhaps it's because of the sloped top tube mean no need to worry about getting specific lugs.
Defintely not Feather though and I hasn't ridden it, end up getting a Moulton.
Oh another thing - a geared one is coming out soon.

Met two guys from TF last week at LMNH...one kiwi, one from Cov. I was the girl with the Rapha jacket and annoying slow puncture that I couldn't find. You took my t-shirt but I lost your number. Anyone on here?

That'll have been Strat and Bobby. PM me if you need their numbers.

Bobby (from Cov.) has been here, not anymore.

We met the other day I came to TFG, I'm Bobby's friend - Nuno. ;)

Maybe TFG should run a singles night?

Not a bad idea, there's some nice people who work there!

I was thinking more about being able to cruise the customers....

Popped in there yesterday to pick up a seat post and saddle. Really is a good shop and great, friendly service. Had a look at one of the Brother frames while I was there; impressed (have heard independent praise of the way they ride from Brixton Cycles). Can't justify buying another frame at the moment, though :(
Cheers to Strat and co.

Am having some issues getting hold of TFG - made an order towards the end of last month, attempted to pay by paypal and was told payment had failed, so proceeded with debit card, only to find out that both payments had been taken out of my bank account. Emailed the store as soon as I realised, and was told the same day (25th May) that paypal payment would be refunded. I am still waiting on a sign of either payment being refunded, have emailed again and received no reply, and also having no joy by phone either.
Anyone know any legit reasons why the shop might be behind with communication/customer services right now?
