  • Their powdercoat service is bloody expensive though..

  • a little but remember that by their costs £40 to build so I guess £40 to strip too.

So not actually as dear as it seems.

  • "Their powdercoat service is bloody expensive though."

Luckily there are cheaper alternatives, particular if you're willing to strip and rebuild the bike yourself. What, in your opinion, would be a fair price?

  • boredom - I shall try and report back. To be fair, Jessie did go down with me once, but that was my 1st time visiting the new shop.

Dude, that came out really wrong...

  • How? I visited the shop, needed to speak to the mechanic, Jessie accompanied me down the stairs... Exactly what it says on the tin...

  • someone has been watching too many Carry on films

  • Just seen the Wald 157 in the sale for £9. That is pretty amazing. Before Toko Fixed stocked Wald I paid £80 to get one shipped from the US. I was thinking of selling but won't bother at that price.

  • Are Kinoko re-stocking any of the sale stuff?

Possibly a silly question, but there is some stuff (Brooks panniers) that I'd buy in a heartbeat if so.

  • It might be worth giving them a call to check if they actually have them in stock, if there is something you really really want. I wanted some brakes and it was showing either out of stock or only 1 left (can't remember). Called them warehouse and it turns out they have more than 1 left. Not so lucky with some Thomson parts I wanted though... :-( Very helpful gents at the warehouse... :-)

  • I did call them, they had one left, I'm picking it up at lunch.

Sadly that leaves me with one Lands End and one John O'Groats pannier- so I need another one of each.

  • The price is not for the pairs??

  • £15 to fit a straight pull spoke (£6) with integrated nipple is taking a piss, especially when I didn't ask to fit it and also I was a part of their "cycling club" at the time.

  • What do they charge for a full service?

  • Popped in earlier to try on the Bont Vaypors.

Very nice shop. Would look in again.

So many fakengers with rucksacks though

  • I tried desperately not to get sucked in but I just spent £90 on sale items.

  • One thing I just noticed- I put a pannier bag into my basket in Kinoko's online shop, then decided that I'd pick it up from the shop that day as I had a meeting in the area later.

Wandered along, bought it, all good.

Just got a reminder email from Kinoko saying "you still have this in your basket".

Which is good- nice touch etc etc.

But it also reminded me that the web-price would have been £37.50, and I paid £45 in the shop.

Hey ho, still cheap, just not as cheap as I had thought.

  • Picked up my new frame yesterday and they installed the headset for me for free. Very much appreciated!!! And I think I might have just become one of the most annoying customers of the month... oops...

Slightly annoying today in an "oh well" sense of the word... in five years time the death of their business. Consumers will not continue to accept this, and personally I would complain. A £10 gift voucher and 25% discount on your next order should ease the pain.

Send me an email dude, I will sort that out!

    Public Service Announcement -

We're completely swamped with the feedback from our Sale. We're pulling overtime and cancelling days off to try and get everyone's orders posted out, but we've never been this busy.

If you're waiting for items, they are on their way but we're just completely snowed under.

If you're waiting for an item for a specific event, like a race or a holiday or something, shoot me an email and I'll make sure we get you priority in the mail system. Can't have forumengers going without...

  • any chance of giving something away as prizes for track day? ;)

  • I ordered some shiz but there's no rush, take your time.

  • I guess things are only in the sale until they have gone and won't be getting re-stocked?

gutted I missed EAI cog in the size I wanted.

Yup, not everything in the sale is getting restocked, we can order stuff that you need but it won't be at sale prices.

I've already had some joker asking me to order them a 54cm Milani Accaio Puro at sale price...
