This was the H-bone. Slamm, wicked pic, but shame you didn't get Hass in on the right. That dude took us both out with this move. Hass and I went down hard, yet still got up with smiles - was awesome.

Got an email from Caitlin over at the Chelsea Pedlars;
"Thanks for getting your crew together on the weekend! Was great to get you over for a bit of grass pitch bike polo, well done in your game against the Irish!
I’ll put you on the email list for our Wednesday games and we’d also definitely be keen to join you for some hardcourt games."
I have given the Chelsea boys and girls links to the new to polo thread so they will know where we are and on what days as well as this one. I, as well as many others have expressed an interest in getting back down to play some more. Caitlin is going to keep me updated with what's going on and I'll get a grass thread going or something. Grass is the new concrete!

I keep reading this thread and thinking I'd like to give it a go, then remember their no lefties rule and cry a little bit.

I think Hardcourt is a far better game than grass polo.
-
• #190
I'm not so sure about that.

Well done!
I came by around 7:15 after work, but there was no sign of anything?!
I guess grass poloists don't play chukkers till it's dark...

• #192
We were in the pub by then!
-
• #193
I'm not so sure about that.
ducksWhat's the matter? Afraid he'll chukker something at you?

This looks great. It's excellent that you can just go to a somewhat different game like this and use equipment made for a different environment. The ball they play with looks like a handball but is a bit smaller?

I really like this picture, too:
Nice composition with the background effects and the lines around Brendan's positioning in the frame, the mallet, and the ball.

And this one.
Not an action shot, but beautiful atmosphere.

Not an action shot!?
This was my main contribution of the weekend :)

this is an example of tactically 'holding position'.

I suppose I meant 'not one with movement' (unless you count the leaves moving gently in the wind). :)
Yep, we were privy to their post match training regime, quite similar to ours actually :)
