our long-awaited new and very much improved bidons are now in stock
i.e., they're now rebranded Camelbak Podium. Which does indeed mean that they're way better than the old bottles.
-
• #8455
^ mark-up on those is around 100%, over the unbranded ones, though.
-
• #8456
So - let me get this straight - what you're saying is they're nice, but a bit pricey?

That small? The usuall markup for a bottle is around 600%
-
• #8458
That's what I thought.
They probably come off the production line at less then a quid each. -

wait, people actually wash their bidons? I thought they were like a fine wine, ageing and maturing slowly with performance enhancing bacteria? no? no-one?
-
• #8473
Urgh. Just looking at some Rapha socks, and they claim blah, blah, blah for "ultimate performance". I get so sick of all that nonsense copy writing on sports clothes. It's laughable.
I basically want to know: are they comfy; will they last well; what colour are they; what are they made of? I don't want to know if they'll provide "ultimate performance". What does that even mean? How does a sock perform? It's the ultimate in keeping my feet warm, stopping my shoes getting smelly and stopping blisters? If it provides the ultimate pinnacle of that then my feet will be hot to the touch, my shoes will turn to pleasant-smelling dust and my foot skin will become like a baby's bum? What utter, utter balls.
Good night.

Go to condor and have a look. they are a lot less inviting once seen on a shop shelf without a massive dollop of marketing schmaltz and moody black and white photography.

I bet. I have their gilet, which I love. And I have their PS hoody, which I feel like a tool in, because it's bright pink, and was sent as a replacement when the nice purple PS jersey bobbled to hell in a week.
Did anyone else buy the Rab C Nesbitt string vest? Sorry, base layer...
