Put him back in, I say...

Get the large.
Promise I'm not going to look like a peperami in a windsock?
-
• #6656
Promise. I had a pair in medium and they were too tight, the large is spot on and I weigh a bit less than you I think.

• #6657
Now you're calling me fat.

If the (merino) cap fits...
-
• #6659
the medium ones will look like hot pants on you Neil. Get the large for the length if nothing else - if you're worried about them not being tight enough (tart) get the team race fit shiny ones - they are much more snug.

And who's stupid fucking idea was that eh? Put me back in, for the good of everyone!

My experience of Rapha kit:
Winter hat: bit small for my bonce, plus the mutt took a liking to the hard peak and chewed it off within about 3 days of owning
Neck warmers: now have two, red and 'Moroccan' blue, very nice, stylish and do the job
Arm warmers: I wouldn't know, I had them delivered to me at work, I put them in the car, took them home and haven't seen them since. It could be the mutt again
Pro cycling mitts (white): good gloves but don't bother getting them in white, it goes a very unpleasant looking grey/cream quickly and Rahpa supply a fiendishly complicated washing instruction flyer for their leather, whish tells you to buy a bar of Rapha soap and Rapha leather treatment ointment, which has managed to put me off washing them ever.
Fixed shorts: ok but not well tailored for me, plus the buttons to do up the bottom have weird spacings so I can either have them loose or as a tourniquet while my lower legs turns blue. Have been replaced and essentially retired after buying some Swrve ones
Classic sofshell: utterly brilliant, can't fault it
Anyone tried their winter gloves yet? I think they are only available in black, thankfully

I've got an older prototype version of the softshell winter gloves that never got made - they are brilliant and they totally should have made them. Can't say re the current ones - though I think they are the same material

Anyone any info on the Paul Smith Rapha 531 jeans?
-
• #6664
One assumes they are awesome.
-
• #6665
Rep'd.
I just bought some from someone but can't find a single think about them on the interwebz.
Oh.
-
• #6666
They're just jeans. Nothing fancy.

I bought a bit of Rapha today. It was my first time, I feel dirty.
-
• #6668
I suspect this has already been covered but the paul s sale shop near the bottom of south moulton st has lots of rapha in, such as rain jackets for £150

What did you get?!

Noooo. Placed order yesterday having checked for discount codes first. miser face
If you do just miss out on a discount code, it's worth emailing to ask if they'll give you the discount anyway. I did this when I bought a thing that was in the sale and the next day it was discounted further; the nice fellow on the other end of the email sent me a gift voucher.

Have you lot heard about the Rapha Festive 500? To be honest I'm not sure I'll get away with it, what with work on 3/4 of those days and the other half staying at mine, but I'll have a go. Up the year's mileage with a sprint for the finish...

Get stuck in then! I'll have a go, but just not sure I'll fit it in.

I said Id never buy any of it but I was tempted by the marketing and now I find myself seduced by the packaging. Its still over priced though, really like the look of the soft shell too. Dammit.
This was my purchase.

Very nice. You just need the matching jersey and bibs now....
Compared to Assos (and their new £350 rain jacket) Gore or even the more expesive end of the Endura range, a lot of the items aren't that overpriced.
If you get a discount code and take advantage of a bundle offer then a lot of things verge on being reasonable as long as you need a few items!
Maybe
