i'm sure, somewhere in this thread, someone has pointed out that the items priced at £40 are usually just in time for xmas and father's day.
i wonder what the price points of the skin products will be? -

I don't have a problem with them releasing a chamois cream a la Assos but Rapha soap is a bit of a stretch!
-
• #3379
why?
-
• #3380
Because i don't think that they can improve on normal soap given the extortionate additional cost the brand is likely to add.

i have some hermes soap (granted it was free from a hotel). it smells nicer and lathers better.

The placebo effect?

Am still a huge fan of rapha and their clothing but fuck, their forum is even more retarded than here.
I got banned within 2 weeks for asking if blackpool was north of the watford gap! some sanctimonious cunt could not even see i was being a little self deprecating about londoner's ignorance of anything outside the m25. instead he lectured me on the contribution northerners have made to cycling.
the brilliant thing was the chap in question was possibly one of the most retarded, bigoted idiots i have encountered for a while, he even thought that starting threads with the title "hello girlies" was acceptable.
The sale was awesome, picked up a complete set of cyclo cross kit for hundred quid - so that is most of my new winter kit sorted.
Can their chamois cream surpass the minty ass lube of assos?

well soap lather will be determined by water hardness.
fragrance is a personal preference. -
• #3385
damo, not just preference, some people are allergic to certain scents
-
• #3386
Apparently, their soap will have the scent of Ventoux.... stale sweat and dust?
-
• #3387
Damo like me is probably allergic to the scent of hard work
-
• #3388
no, i'm just not actually very busy.

Do i look like a man who has been within smelling distance of Ventoux?
-
• #3391
looks like your wheel has crashed descending ventoux
-
• #3392
Do i look like a man who has been within touching distance of soap?

You look like a man who has enjoyed a lifestyle similar to that offered in the south of France.

No *you're *a cunt.
You look like a man who has enjoyed a lifestyle similar to that offered in the south of France.
I'm not sure if that's nice or not :)

How much do you have to pay to contribute on the Rapha forums?
-
• #3396
One imagines it's a bit pricey.
-
• #3397
albeit nice..

Yup - was well happy to find the cc 3/4 bibs and the cc winter jersey in my size.
Could have done without wading through untold boxes of pony tshirts first though.

• #3399
wait, these things are real?!! the boxes were just mock-ups. i assumed they were a joke, like the tim little clipless brogues! (ah, clipless brogues...)
