Ouch. Do you have the current version? I might get both and see which is the lesser evil.

They updated the PT Winter Hat so it doesn't leave the bad line anymore. I had the first gen and hated it, now I have the second gen and it is my favorite hat.

SHADOW just arrived. Bought a medium because small always comes up tiny across my shoulders and up my midriff - and this feels oddly spacious around my shoulders and definitely on my biceps. Might have to swap it for a small - can I do that in a retail shop?

James, Jack and Mark are all interesting guys and good speakers so it'll be worth the visit in my opinion.

How different is the shadow jersey from a gabba or the pro team softshell base layer?
-
• #24235
Can't compare it to a softshell base, but compared to the Gabba it's a lot thinner - far more of a spring/summer thing than the Gabba.

Endura FS260-Pro Roubaix Jacket is still going strong for me - compared to the Winter Windproof Jersey, which ripped at the shoulder when i moved into the drops.

no shadow for women. women are waterproof confirmed

Seems odd given their new Rapha/Canyon team that they would release a race specific kit that their own team can't even use.

Ladies are just too smart for £260 bibs that don't say Assos on them.

sits out in the raining, counting all the money I don't have, dreaming of the day that the shadow kit goes up for sale at 50% off so that I can actually justify buying it.
all those complaining about black... just remember: Black is always the new black. if you want to be seen, use lights, I find they're easier to see in rain than bright colours or reflectives anyway.
interested to see how the shadow kit holds up to heavy use though. Also for anyone following the rapha blog, is anyone else stoked for a helmet, made by another company with the rapha logo on for double the price?
I am actually interested to see what these other innovations they promise for the pro team range, and the updated brevet collection too -

Lights do half the job. You need lights plus bright clothing. Well I do.
Bring forth the Coral shadow!

A Coral Shadow. The stuff of dreams!

Bright colours only really matter in low light conditions like early morning and evening. And who ever rides a bike at those times on a regular basis?
Got to say those fully reflective grey jackets people are community in now are pretty epic when headlights catch them. Maybe Rapha should bring out a similar verson. Rapha "Twilight" perhaps.

I'd say bright colours have their use on those overcast, grey days when the light is very flat. Particularly if you're riding under tree cover or similar.
It's still too bright for lights to stand out much, and cars won't have their lights on so reflectivity is not much use.
Obviously when it starts to get dark then they're no use at all, and that's when you need lights.

• #24246
I'm confused, have Rapha dropped a new light set I haven't seen?
-
• #24247
They are , literally, ovens. I bought one, went for a run in it (I don't have lights in when running), it was close to zero and I had swear streaming out of the cuffs.

One thing that worries me about the all-black kit I'm usually wearing is how well I'd blend in with the tarmac when I'm lying on the road after a crash.
White shoes are great for visibility as they are your most consistently visible moving parts from front or rear. I spotted a promuter last week wearing black overshoes with a flashing red LED on each heel - a neat idea but I think my white sidis are at least as visible to traffic.
