  • Hello Multi Grooves - apologies, only just spotted this and I got your name confused with another forum moniker - great chatting with you in the gusting winds, did you get your headset sorted for the Moots?

Adoubletap, well spotted and thanks for not subjecting the bike to the usual forum-Rapha treatment, it's a fantastic ride. Give us a shout in future.

...And no one's pointed out the 2010 club membership yet?

  • got me a Stowaway, in misty blue.

fuck, it's a good bit of kit. the attention to detail and overall quality is superb.
rapha may be pricey, but when they do it like this, nothing else comes close.

  • Booooorrrrrlllloooooooooookkkkkzzzzzz

  • Bolllllerrrrrrks

  • '531 is awesome'

    that's bollerks too

  • Mmm, lovely feeling Rapha vouchers for Christmas. What to get, what to get.

  • ^some miles in.

I got exclusive access to the unveiling of new 'Rapha Miles'. You'd have thought a Rapha Century would cost £100, but they're doing it for £175. I suppose you pay a premium for a century that's equally at home off the bike.

  • What is a Rapha Century?

  • I can't give away too much, suffice to say they were especially cheeky considering it's £175 for a metric century! Trying to keep that sense of continental heritage they're so good at role-playing.

  • I imagine that's very fairly priced considering it will be an epic century, rather than a normal one, and probably moodily shot from interesting angles at various stages.

Happy crimbo an all that. No worries. The Moots appears to be fine, thanks for asking.

  • am i the only one with a soft spot for that jockey-esque cap, charcoal with the white polka dots?

Casting all joke aside- it is a little steep.

    Seriously.

  • I bought the wax cap, sorely disappointed just didn't fit, was too big at the back and not deep enough.

  • That's a shame.
My wax cap feels bigger than the other 2 gentlemens caps so maybe there was a sizing issue...
It's as deep as all my other caps though.

Change it for the polka! Seriously, the polka one (despite the jockey references) has become my favourite ever cap. It holds it's shape like a real hat rather than being flimsy.
I know The Three Threads in Shoreditch are selling them so they can be tried on first.
    Perhaps Condor too...?

the green one you mean? yes I find it's a tad too small, fit perfectly just felt like it's on the edge of my head.

  • Yeh i had that feeling exactly, and that was with a Medium. I rang them and had a chat and they said that it was sometimes a problem with their hats that were less than 5 panels.
I've got the BFF and the regular Winter Hat which are both 5 panel and they fit beautifully.
I've ordered the red one like yours now, which is what I should have gone for in the first place.
I love my rapha winter hat - most worn hat for 2 winters now. I got a Sugoi one, which was lovely but I found the ears 'rode' up - so I sold that to Skully - I think the fact that I have long hair has something to do with it though.

Ed, we're going to have to consult each other now, before we go out, just in case we turn up looking like a pair of gnomes.

Exactly it will be epic and may even go as far as leaving Surrey.

I love the BFF one, really comfortable, perfect fit and reasonably unpricey.

The red one I've recieved sadly doesn't quite cover my ears due to the hearing aids pushing my ears out lineker style, but still very comfortable and usable everyday.

My Rapha knitted hat kept slipping side to side and sliding down over my eyes which is obviously a big problem, then I had a hair cut and it stays exactly where I want it to. Rapha not thinking of girls when designing their hat liners?

  • well observed, the Rapha line-up are not exactly design for female in the first place, but Rapha apparenty concentrating on making women-specific clothing;

  • The problem for Rapha's retro marketing arm must be that Beryl Burton probably never even looked as if she was suffering when she was dropping all the men. :)
