the winter base layer they got in sale right now, is it really significant warmer than the usual one? Thinking about purchasing one...

You could wear it on its own.

I trust you've all seen the caps and jerseys on the Rapha outlet store (with some normal sizes available!).. trade team hats are back too but not many left.

@clem-fandango @Dick thanks

Just received my Softshell back from repairs from a crash earlier this year... Despite the fact it took nearly 6 weeks, they've done a cracking job on patching the sleeve and shoulder, and the handwritten note and first-aid musette is a really nice touch.

This is not very nice... like something from river island..

Actual lol.
Rapha add teeny tiny reflective detail to ninja black winter top.
It's like the fat kid ordering a diet coke with their super sized burger king meal. Don't delude yourself rapha. -

Yep just baselayer, silk scarf and dataprint socks. Nothing else, clingfilm optional.

Anything else in your wardrobe we should be concerned about?

TBH I was looking for a Dready/Spliffy/Toking bomber, but almighty interwebz for once let me down

Would make more sense for the reflective arm band to be on the right arm, not left.
Just like a cars fog light has to be on the right side.

I got rear ended today, in broad daylight, wearing all black Rapha...
At whom should I direct my lawsuit? Straight to Simon?

Were you on the bike at the time?
Bad news if you were.
-
• #22946
I was on the bike, but seemingly unharmed.
I was more poking fun at the whole visibility nonsense in this thread. If a driver can't see me, with a rear Exposure flashing, on a neon pink bike, at 11 o'clock in the morning, then having a reflective detail, however large, ain't gunna do shit.

Shit to hear got hit. If they're texting etc. youre fucked.
But that dusk time when lights dont really show despite the background light conditions being terrible. Thats basically how it is up here for fecking hours.
I'm in full fluoro.
Things get better when the sun actually sets and your lights take affect. But I wont be buying any black winter kit.

I'm aware it shouldn't be a thing... but if you are involved in something unfortunate the driver can (and probably will) use the fact you dressed all in black against you. It's arguable whether or not they have a point.

Agreed, its like a whole discussion that happened in 2011.
Glad you are unharmed, visibility has very little to do with fcukwits driving cars at bikes. -

Folk walk their dogs wearing fluoro reflective vests up here. The lights pretty shitty.
Im not really interested in whether or not drivers are cunts though. It is what it is. I just want to train.
With how warm it is I'm almost certain it'll have the same effect as wrapping onseself in cling film, so one can hope that by the time summer comes around it'll be too big.
