Just been offered a Rapha backpack for a silly price so I might take a punt on it and see how I get on with it. It's so cheap I wouldn't even have qualms about buying the MW as well eventually...

Yeah, do it. I have the Rambler as well as Rapha bags. BOAST POST.
Rambler good for things like...buying everything you need to do your Christmas day roast.

My drunk Rapha purchases have arrived in two large boxes. One of them is heavy. WTF?

I hope it's the espresso machine.

The remnants of the ill conceived 'descenders shoes' project?
Come on, we're on fucking tenterhooks here.

Slightly off-topic, but wasn't sure where to ask. Does anyone know of any thin (i.e. not fleece lined) leg warmers? Need some for winter racing as I get way too hot in the ones I have. Thanks!

My DHB ones are no fleecy.
-
• #20313
+1 for DHB ones. Basically jersey material and pack down small if you want to get rid, not that you would mid-race...

Great thanks guys - they look perfect! Super cheapz too....

my classic bib shorts started to come unstitched so I sent back to rapha and they replaced them. I find xs fits me better anyway so going to shift these on.
classic bib shorts size small, black/cream £120 posted (new & un-opened)

Do the smaller bibs get see through and show your bum-hole to riders behind?

Turns out the weight is books... the great road climbs of the pyrenees, northern alps and southern alps. There's some data print in the box too...

How long had you used the old pair for?
-
• #20319
I bought them back in june last year but used them for just a few months before getting xs instead. Sent them back last week.

Small bag of choice: big x top
Large bag: missionI recently received a replacement rambler on their lifetime warranty scheme - was disappointed to find that quality of finishing and some design touches have been stripped out since I got my initial bag 4/5 years ago. Still a superb bag though; bombproof, comfortable, looks nice and you can get the kitchen sink in it.

I actually already have a BigxTop Mini Messenger - it's a brilliant little bag... but it really is little.

it's not that little if you use the rolltop and straps. I've got a 13" laptop, charger and 4 days worth of clothes in there comfortably. I use a XL ortlieb daily so i generally revel in the chance to use a smaller bag and not carry so much shit.

Got a large brevet jersey in pink that I bought from the outlet store that I think's too big. If anyone has anything in medium that's new that they'd be interested in swapping, PM me.

I am so over rucksacks. Too sweaty and too much weight on the body.
I commute with one of these now:

I have fitting blocks on both my road and fixed bikes and have a spare seat post and saddle if I ever want to race or ride the track. Which is never.
I am amazed that I don't see more of them out in the cat 6 peleton.

I like feeling like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle with my Pac as my shell. Can't get that with a Carradice. Also 16L is quite compact.
the rapha bag is quite small, even when fully expanded
