Haha, this is pretty funny!
Not a bad word was said when people were picking up thousands of £'s worth of savings in the recent sample sale, but now they can go get fucked? -

I'm sure they'll be fine.
The Summer lookbook has some lovely looking stuff in it. Shame I dont live in a climate where I can use a lot of SS jerseys etc. Still tempted to pick up a winter jersey.

Trade team jersey - inspired by jerseys of the past. Does that mean copying without having to bother with licensing

lol at whinging about Rapha pricing. It's aspirational goods, the price is part of the package.

The Assos could be the most fantastic bibs in history, but my experiences of riding with 6pt have put me off.
They become very shear at the rear.
If only you did your time on the front this would cease to be an issue.
Currently riding in some shear rplz bibs for variety.

I don't want to aspire to replace my baselayers. I want replacement baselayers.

MEAT EATER
I don't really get it? who would want to ride around with this on their chest?
-
• #15696
Well, it's a fairly obvious (if tasteless) reference to both Heer Merckx' nickname as the 'Cannibal' and the fact that Molteni (whose colours it apparently replicates) was a meat company. They made salami, apparently.
And this is the Vleeseter one, in the same colours as Merckx’s Molteni team.

That's pretty obvious, but they should have translated it correctly to the proper Dutch word

I don't think they'll sell many of those on this side of the North Sea

I'm pretty sure that it would have been deliberate to make the reference slightly oblique, among other things because it would have been inappropriate and probably not that popular, for people to ride around with Eddy Merckx' proper nickname on their chest. 'Vleeseter', though distasteful, at least looks like something that might have been a team name once to your average non-Dutch speaking person. Perhaps our resident Rapha employees will be able to elucidate.
I don't think NL is necessarily the target market for this one, unless they strike a chord with some rabid meat-eater over there. :)
