Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

I have one. Its the nicest cycling jacket I've owned. Although I dont have access to a rapha store to compare it to one there.

The embossed rapha logo on the collar is somewhat faint, and I have finally managed to locate a slight mark. But had I bought it from a rapha store I wouldnt have noticed these slight issues.

All the relavent seams are taped, the fit is exactly as my PT jersey, and I'm sure the materials are correct. I rode for 3 hours in gale force winds with just a t-shirt under in perfect comfort.

I suspect its a slight second. Not that I would have complained if I'd bought it from a rapha store. I only went with the EBay version because they had the nodder yellow.

Softshell gilet over a longsleeve baselayer, was just about perfect. I'd shunned the idea of a gilet for ages, but having embraced my inner Jack Whitehall, i'm loving it.

Did mine on Sunday. Its been dry and mild up here all winter.

Wasnt on Sunday. 3C, windy, and wet. The wet roads where infact coated in grey paste. Within 15 mins I was totally coated in it. Only my painfully purple knees shined through. Lucky it was my thermal bibs or my aging hips would have suffered too. Yuck. Part of me really enjoyed it though.

These were freshly washed before sundays road ride. There should be monologue of how my pro team jacket snuggled me through my epic suffering.

But I didnt want to get my pretty yellow jacket dirty. So i didnt wear it ......

Just got mine. It’s errr… not too bad, looks much better on than the picture above suggests, or at least I think I make it look good (though the Mrs will probably tell me I look like a dick in it).

Either way, glad I got the patches off Rapha and not ebay!

Anyone got any sizing advice on the 'classic' jersey? I'm not exactly fat, but I'm not thin either. Most of my jersey's that I like the fit of are 'medium', but the Castelli 3T one I have in medium is like a skin suit.
