Someone connected to the company has posted on the forum before. I think they actually worked for Rapha helping produce some of their products.
...or just come up with a better idea/model than yours. Plenty exist!
I think you are correct - and I think their VC cash comes from the same source (along with Finisterre)

Can you explain what's wrong with the choice?
It makes everything look like the menu on some Italian pasta restaurant or a luxury real estate condo office

what's with the hiragana/kanji?
Do we have another Superdry here? -
• #14856
I remember a friend of mine once asked me to get him some Superdry stuff from Japan because "it's cheaper over there, cos that's where they make it, innit."
I LOL'd.

Dont like it. Nothing overly special about it. Looks a bit Pearl Izumi

Damn, no more deep winter socks? I was gonna get another pair for rotation and possibly hanging by the fire place for santa to fill.

I'm waiting for the Imperial Works deep winter socks.

Got a pro team jacket and jersey, sized up from my normal size for slightly less racefit. the best wapha stuff i've seen, really pleased. no more spending this month...

Extremely happy with my PTJ, realised that you only need that and the rain jacket to stay warm (or warm up) instead of the Softshell.

Just buy DeFeet Woolie Bootie socks. They shit all over the Rapha winter socks.

But they don't have pink trim.

Swapped in my winter tights for a PTJ this week. Really couldn't get on with the odd material choice for the crotch area...

sadly true. You can always jazz them up with some giro pink Rapha oversocks - even though no grown man should ever wear them, especially not in combination with that awful Brevet gilet.

Mrs Pharoah bought me the brevet jersey as a gift in the spring and so got the pink gilet. I hated it at first but have recently come around. As ugly as it is, I do think it helps being seen. And not being squished has become a priority for me.

Or even the Slipstream that actually make a great socks despite being labelled as an overshoes.

Love the pink gilet! Best high viz color out of the bunch. I had some overshoes printed last week exploring some less high viz hues but still stand out colors. All black and earth colors becomes slightly mundane eventually.

I have been thinking about getting a hi viz too so what better than the rapha brevet gilet. Probably the yellow rather than the pink personally but it would be better having it on than not in the gloomy weather.
Is it a thick material like the softshell gilet?
-

^^ you are a shameless Raphawhore though.
For sure the pink gilet is visible.. I think I have just seen too many fat middle aged men wearing it whilst pushing black Colnagos around outside Condor.

It's thin. It's a lightweight gilet and not as nice as the ACTUAL lightweight gilet they make.
If you want visibility and a lightweight gilet - just buy a £20 yellow Craft one from Ribble.

there is a bit of an off putting stereotype in the cyclist that shows up to rides every now and then looking mint in all new sparkling rapha attire. I guess that's part of the backlash you have to deal with in this type of branding

I posted this over in the police spotting thread, but fwiw since it seems relevant here recent research from the University of Bath found no benefit from high-vis.

how come the photos all look like an out of focus jonathan ross and his doris running away from a dog?
