  • latest hot eBay search term: "Vintage Rapha"

  • Open the internet site, and set your delivery country to Norway. Same level of nice, but a little more pricey.

    This.

I was in Oslo for less than 24 hours, two weeks ago, and it cost me £500.

You couldnt go 24hrs without a few pints?

Plus I want some older colours in stuff.

Why not strike up a UK based forumite who doesnt mind buying the stuff and sending it on to you would that be any cheaper?

    Nope.

I landed at 10pm after a full work day and still had two hours of presentation writing left to do whilst being stuck in a shit hotel with no table in my room. The least I could do was buy a couple of beers whilst I used their bar as an office.

My barber used to smuggle heroin into Norway via the postal service. I can hit SF up with him no problem.

It's a business trip, alcohol is compulsory. At the company's expense.

    In that case chug away!

    So much this.

Still, as a responsible employee, I should still be annoyed that my company had to fund my drinking habit at a more expensive rate.

I am looking for a new barber south of the river - sounds like he could be my kind of guy

  • I've spent lots on Rapha but because I've bought almost all of it in the Osaka Cycle Club (at slightly inflated Japanese prices, no less), I have no running total and thus no chance of IW membership. Gipped!

Cheers. But I tend to have stuff sent to my parents. The local ex-pats have a bit of a network going too.

....unless you meant the Heroin. In which case pm'd.

  • Imperial Werkz oversees is delivered by stormtrooper, they throw in complimentary nazi gold, tiger bones and myrrh.

  • I can't spell myrrh.

    #noclass

You getting a bit bushy downstairs?

  • It's not that kind of barbers, Dan.

  • Bravo :)

No, I have moved to the badlands recently. I've been going to my guy in NW because my office is still nearby, but I'm moving studios in the next month so I'm on the look out for another source of reasonably priced haircuts and minimal small talk.

He's definitely not the man you're looking for then.

  • Too many cool heroin smuggling stories?

  • Turkish geeza in CP is cheap and good Dan

  • Sounds about right, thanks Sam. Where is he?

  • First barber on the right if you go up Church Road westbound from the main junction

  • He is a shortish, 40-something swarthy fella. If you see a young interloper in there, swerve it.

  • Palace Barbers aren't bad either. Both are bike friendly.

  • I've wondered if there is an explicit "no eBay/reselling" policy that comes with IW membership. You don't see it come up very often.

Some clown has listed a load of IW Rainjackets.

He probably doesn't even have them - he'll just order them if someone pays his over inflated price.

The coffee cards are even funnier. It's being a member that allows free coffee, not having a card so that's a pretty expensive piece of plastic for the buyer.

    Crazy stuff.
