Antwerp. Cooler!
This.
The island (pictured on the right in the sixth slide) is accessible via an pass under the canal for pedestrians (and bikes naturally). The decor and tilling in there is all tatty art deco from (at a guess) the 1930s. The escalator to the pass is accessible on the city-side via a lift, the door to which is fairly well hidden behind a basketball court.
Antwerp is full of wonderful surprises.

That gold/mustard is uber gash..

Ive been meaning to pull the trigger on this all summer but was always spending money elsewhere....wont really use it in the winter months so will probably buy it if and when a sale comes around in time for next season.
I am a M in normal jerseys, not overly tight, should a M in the PT be fine?
I spose so, but if you've got the capital (and aren't anywhere near a Rapha store) order both and send the one that doesn't fit back. Fit is essential with such a second-skin jersey.

^^ nope it's cool.

Thinking about buying one of the gloves bundles. Are the merino liners really necessary or just a marketing ploy to burn more holes in my wallet?
Rapha even suggest merino liner, winter glove/deep winter glove and overmitt over the top! That's nearing £200 on gloves.
-
• #13486
im just going to buy the winter gloves and get some cheaper liners from somewhere else, or just MTFU in the coldest parts.
-
• #13487
Me too, bought the gloves, no liners.
-
• #13488
Think 200 is a bit excessive for some gloves wapha or no wapha.

• #13489
something like this will do just fine

I do like the track top from the city collection...
Does anyone have both the 3/4 and the touring shorts and if so which do you prefer? Do the touring shorts come to the knees?

I keep seeing silk mentioned for gloves, is it quite an insulating material?
-
• #13492
It's a thin layer and layers trap air and build warmth.
Additionally, you can wash silk liners without having to wash the outer glove, so they can prolong the life of the main glove by reducing the number of times you throw them in the wash.

Lookbook - WTF?? What marketing tool invented that term?
It's a whole new language Spock, they fall for it at every frontier.C0ckring woppity gonads.
That mustard sh1te stuff. Anyone orders any if that I'll personally pop round to tighten the straight jacket.
Although it might just be an in joke , I mean "in joke". -

£200 winter tights that have no chamois?
"Designed to be worn over your favourite bibs"? Get stuffed. -
• #13499
Only weirdos wear tights with chamois.
-
• #13500
This, since forever.
You can get away with just washing the bibs for a few rides – and we've all got plenty of pairs of bibs so that's ok. It's all about layers.
Antwerp. Cooler!
