  • as a general rule - Rapha bibs tend to be quite long in the leg. You can chose a length in the pro team bibs - but I found that even the normal length ones were very long in my size. This coming from someone with reasonably long femursssss

  • I went M in Assos and they fit perfectly. I am 5'6-7" and 31 waist if that helps.

I would also go M in rapha judging from their site. I am a M in all their tops.

Cool. They seemed great in the store. But with everyone banging on about how the straps pull when not in a cycling position. I was worried when I did'nt really feel this.

Thats a pisser. My legs are uber short. Exactly 30" inseam while wearing cycling shoes.

    Cheers guys.

  • @Smallfurry - Get a small in the classic bibs or a medium regular in the Pro-team

  • This. The classics have much more give in the straps / mesh up top.

  • Both types of bibs are amazingly comfortable and excellent in different ways. The classics are so comfy I I could sit about all day in them, the Pro Team bibs are the best fitting shorts I've owned.

Shame that both my pairs of classics are on their last legs now after 3 years of constant abuse.

  • I want a pair of the pro team bibs in 3/4 length. I hope they make them at some point.

  • I do like a close fitting bib. I'll move small classics up my shortlist.

I was kinda hoping to be clever and grab more 2014 summer gear in the winter. So I'll see what crops up.

  • Stuff you want from Rapha and everything from Assos = never on sale really.

    True.
I only really need one pair of short bibs. So I dont mind spending really. I'm already in 3/4s during the day, and 3/4 thermals in the evening.

  • If anyone wants a friends referral then pm me...

  • What now that my Otto Miller jersey has nearly gone?

    Should have bought two.

I am a similar size (30in inseam, 32in waist) - the medium did not work for me on length, while the small classic worked on length but not waist.

The XS are right for me on inseam, but they are 28in waist.

    Oh well

  • ^ this, apparently everyone under 5'8 is SUPER SKINNY

  • im 28" and everything S has fit me perfectly except longsleeves. My arms are unproportionally long for a small :|

    Choad

  • Lol

  • Is the rapha logo on the peak of the cross winter hat embroidered or printed?

  • I think it's embroidered!

  • Definitely embroidered.

  • Thankyou
nothing a seam ripper cant fix if the prendas one isnt so nice then :)

  • I just came here for the Assos babes. I'll be back later

  • re: Merino base layers. Should I buy one, living in a rather hot climate (Marseille, France)? Plain or Mesh? I'm contemplating spending more money than just 2 bidons and a magazine to avoid shipping. And is there a discount code active at the moment by any chance?

  • I reckon the mesh base layer would suit the hot climate, have you considered the pro team base layers?

  • I'm just reading the blurb about each model right now. Looks like pro team would be ideal for summer, mesh maybe all year round

  • I think you have it spot on. I personally quite like the idea of the mesh merino. Thinking of getting the bundle.
