Anyone got/use the overshoes?
Very impressed by the softshell, so do the overshoes work as well?
Fed up of cold wet feet. -

Happy with mine.
*Any old (cheaper) pair of overshoes will do the trick though.

Fuck will they. My feet are still numb from this morning.
DHB neoprene + Goretex overshoes.
Just wondered if the rapha ones had magic woven into their neoprene.

They don't.

Shame.

imo it's better to invest in winter boots.. dry warm feet and no hassle of getting the overshoes on and off. Means your summer shoes will last longer too

My MW80's have done pretty well to be fair, but beware when it gets really cold they have precious little grip when walking.

Fed up of cold wet feet.I bought some to replace my four year old Planet X overshoes.
The Rapha ones are already holed and they're not particularly warm.

Are the Planet X's warm-ish? Was thinking of getting some.
Went on a 40 miler this morning and my feet were ice blocks. -

I like the PX ones - but I'd get some proper waterproof overshoes to try and keep you a bit dryer.

It is all about the socks.
-
• #11264
It's all about staying dry if you ask me. If you have a serious problem with poor circulation overshoes certainly won't cut it. Proper winter shoes as suggested above might be worthwhile considering.

What socks you using? Got merino but they don't help. Nor did wearing 2 pairs of them.
My feet are dry. That's not an issue.

Merino. Assos does socks for really cold weather I believe.
-
• #11267
You can still wear Rapha overshoes.

I've tried all this and come to the conclusion that it's all bollocks- I am going to try heated insoles next.
-
• #11269
make sure your shoes arent too tight, let the air flow around a little
-
• #11270
I've used heated insoles in -30C and they kept my feet warm and toasty all day. If anything I would think they're too warm for British winter, but it's certainly worth a go.

Any idea which ones have the best carbon offset?

Don't worry Ludwig- the energy is renewable as I use rechargeable batteries.
