^^Do you swallow everything whole?
or just the marketing bumph of expensive imports?

Hey, the chamois cream and winter embro are genuinely really, really good so I figured why not try the soap? As a post-ride treat it's lovely. Nothing wrong with a little bit of luxury now and then... especially if you earn it with a little pain and suffering!
Besides I'm supposed to go and pick up some special Clinique sunscreen for the girl... whatever she is... and that shit is £40 a tube! £8 or whatever for a bar of long-lasting soap doesn't seem so bad compared to female cosmetic products...

[it] is very good soap
Why, cos it cleans you? Are you cleaner now?

Seems to shift embro and road grime better than the other soap I was using (which isn't shit soap either), doesn't leave you feeling too squeaky, kind to injuries, lathers well, seems to be lasting well... and smells like heaven.
I know I'm never going to cease being the butt of many jokes for buying it but I will sit here and be a strange kind of clean Rapha smug about my purchase anyway (because if I don't, I'll probably cry).

Been wearing my transfer jacket today. So warm, so snug and I feel so smug.

Yes but you look like you have attended some kind of early nineties happy hardcore night where puffa jackets are mandetory.

Uniqlo is down-filled so is warm and light but doesn't play well with moisture. If you use it as a post-ride jacket you may find your sweat dampening the insulation, which could then clump and become useless. You can't wear it in the rain.
Transfer uses Primaloft ONE which is about the best synthetic insulation on the market (top end of Primaloft's range). Almost as good as down in terms of warmth/weight ratio, plays much better with moisture.
The Uniqlo jackets are great but I wouldn't throw one on immediately after a ride or if it's foggy/drizzly/rainy. Snow is ok as long as it's cold enough not to melt into the jacket.
I have both down and Primaloft ONE jackets and love them both but you have to be a little careful of their limitations. Or rather, of down's limitations.

Great buy, really cheap for a small lightweight down jacket, great for hiking/touring instead of having to spend hundreds on a brand name one.

Also nice but a bit pricey...
I have a Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover (basically the half-zip Primaloft ONE equivalent of that) and I love it to bits. One of my best buys. Patagucci make really good insulating layers.

Finisterre also do some very good primaloft (synthetic rather than down) jackets: http://www.finisterreuk.com/shop/mens/clothing/mens-outerwear.html

I bought the belt. It looks nice but comparable in price to other belts of a similar quality.
I'll be buying soap and smelling of Ventoux next.....
