I'm travelling back from hols in Italy that morning. I hope to make it time to watch the last couple of races and to come to the Prince Regent afterwards for the best post race excuse competition.

for the best post race excuse competition.
It's too early for that. We still live in a profoundly racist society, certainly very far from post race, and a bit of whirling round a concrete oval of an afternoon won't change that.
First past the post wins.

Need to do the induction session first, hopefully this Saturday. Anyone else who needs to do the same PM me, would be good to do it with some other forum peeps.

and all that secret training eh......
-
• #66
Will there be an induction session on the day before racing starts (similar to the last tarck day)?
-
• #67
There is actually a velodrome where I'm going
-
• #68
so you CAN take part via video link? :D
-
• #69
So... I'm interested and should be in town by that time but won't be able to use my own bike - they have bikes there you can use for free? That's the impression I get from the website. And I've ridden other velodromes but obviously not this one so I'd turn up at 9 am for a little training session, is that right?
oh! and uh, is insurance required at the track?

Andy p, I'm no expert, but they have a good website which tells all. In short though, i believe you must have drop bars and no breaks.

Covered/taped drops, no brakes and foot retention. Skidded through tyres also not a hot look on banking. And bring your slackest chain.
