Polo needs your help... again

I've got (enhanced) CRB clearance, have played a bit of polo at newington but not in a couple of months due to uni stuff but would be fine to come dawn, maybe could team up with brendan or louis as a CRB man so they can teach the noobs...and me.

HA! Rauri, I'm a noob too (at least in my eyes)... I think brendan's been playing for around 9 times as long as me! :-)

I'm CRB checked, wont know about the dates until nearer the time. I'm happy to help out though.

These ‘sessions’ will be advertised on www.ehbpc.org and www.london.gov.uk/playsport and will also be on the back of euros flyers (actually, the front – PSL are paying for these) and mentioned on the euros poster.

Here’s the 3 essentials points:

• A minimum of 5 volunteer staff will run each event, with at least two ‘Key’ staff member at each event will be CRB checked.

• Staff will be identified by wearing ‘Play Sport London’ T-shirts (I already have these – they’re natty)

• ALL new participants must wear a cycle helmet.

The rest of the requirements are about paperwork (waivers, insurance, evaluation, etc.), which is all in hand.

The basic idea of the session follows exactly the format we usually use for noobs; outline the rules, lend them a mallet, put them in a game and play nice with them.

It would be great to get lots of people along to these, and give people the best introduction to polo that we can. Right now, we just need to make sure we have 5 people with 2 CRB’d at the first couple of sessions, so please add your name below and we’ll figure out who’s doing the rest of these after the first couple of sessions are done.

I'm afraid due to bad organising that wasn't by me i am now having to leave london on the 22nd (not the 23rd as i was told) if someone who's CRB'd could take my place i would be greatful. i'm sorry to do this but i will be more than happy to help out in the futrue.
