  • A draw is virtually impossible now. If Australia were to bat two days they'd score well more than 500. One hundred a session is decent going and there's still six sessions to go.

To be honest if the Aussie's overhaul our total then fair focks to them, in all honesty they've been the better side all series and we've been saved by three or four excellent sessions of cricket.

exactly what RPM and I just said.

  • they've been the better side all series

that isn't true at all, though - if it were they'd be ahead. they thumped us in the last game, but we've got the better of them many times as well. i think it's been very even, all in all.

  • let's hope both teams provide two days of memorable cricket.. a victory either way is a win for this sport.. no-one can afford a draw, even the australians know this..

i still think england are in the driving seat, strauss will play the patient / waiting game to find those key moments even if this means sacrificing 300 runs. there is no rush..

  • If we had run for every time the fucking commentators said the ball 'exploded', this game would be a lot closer.

Ha! The pitch has only been exploding since warne decided the other day that "swann is bowling hand grenades nearly every ball!"

  • Fuckin poms. Shakey start.

  • Inside 400 now. Come on Punter.

  • this is test cricket at its best. dull and slow yet you want to see what happens.

  • break this pair up ffs!

  • ponting run out by flintoff

  • 217-3

  • siting here having to work. but it's o.k listening to the radio :-)

  • it's over. two run outs in a row. dire.

  • Clark for 0. Fuckin' A!!

  • captain and vice captain
    FAIL

  • cricket's not my thing, but i spent two seasons working at the oval and i like the atmosphere. still, don't quite get the rules.

  • Harmisson on a hat trick...

  • almost there.
the plucky aussies put up a brave fight but at the end of the day they FAILED to beat a team ranked 4 places below them.

can't wait for the excuses and blaming the upires/grounsdsmen/weather/to follow, nearly as entertaining as the cricket

  • :-d

  • the better team won the series, end of.

well done england for coming back and playing good cricket at the oval.

    whahey!

I might celebrate with alcohol now...even though I don't drink

  • twwooo waaahhhn to ter Engerlaand.

  • How many runs did we get in the end?

  • not enough!

  • Not enough
