What's that Skippy?
No-one to talk to?:)
England are a schoolboy side without their fat talisman and the heartless zebra farmer.

hi chaps :-)
well done you are back level after being behind for so long.
should make the last test interesting. -
• #505
*"Trescothick is the leading England qualified batsman in English first-class cricket so far this season with 1,130 runs from 18 matches at an average of over 78 with six centuries."

I wish wish wish Tresco would come back for this test.
-
• #507
I say get Gower, Atherton and Botham on the pitch -they'll be there anyway for Sky sports, so why not?
-
• #508
You're hardly going to elevate Trescothick, are you? What kind of message does that send?
-
• #509
that there's no one else?
-
• #510
Well, yeah... that your best option is someone with widely publicised mental fragility.
Speaks volumes about the bloke he replaces!
-

I think you're missing the point about Trescothick - the only reason he isn't an England opener is that he retired early, due, basically, to mental health issues. he couldn't hack it at the top, put simply. he is, however, currently the best batsman in England and would be playing for the national team if he hadn't taken himself out of the running.
Given that Pietersen isn't fit, which wasn't part of the original plan, it seems fair enough to look for replacements.

• #512
Aren't they bringing back that "good" player of yours? The injured guy..
-
• #513
Thats totally the point
he couldn't hack it at the top,
Irrespective of his current form/state of mind, its a massive ask for him to come back. All eyes on him, Australian press picking on him, and the Aussie players would surely give him LOADS before the match. Pressure would be enormous.
-
• #514
he can't cope with being on tour though. not with playing cricket. at which he appears to be doing quite well right now.
-
• #515
Can you realistically see it happening? I'd be suprised.
-
• #516
i dunno. stranger things have happened. ( i have no real clue i am bored at work and am attempting anything )
-
• #517
yeah, it was the touring thing. one game in london is hardly going to fuck him up.
-
• #518
I dont think the selectors give a shit about his wellbeing, they give a shit about whether he has the minerals to score runs.
-
• #519
has he been picked yet or is it just paper talk?
-
• #520
Nah, just internet talk..sadly
-
• #521
there's no way tresco will be called up. and i'd be very surprised if ramprakash is
-
• #522
cometh the hour.. the whole nation must be that 12th player.. this is australia for brian's sake.. we should start singing jerusalem right now.. get the flags out.. and the Womens Institute start baking those ST GEORGE CROSS buns to instill some pride back in the nation.. for that oval spirit of 2005, if the final test goes five days the whole country will be at a stand still..
who am i kidding..
-
• #523
i have just been offered a ticket for thursday (1st day) at the Brit Oval.. praying for good weather and some great cricket..

Your bowling is not the issue.
