  • garrrr curse of Taylor strikes

  • Would love to see Stuart Clark having a bowl before stumps.

    What's that, Mr Hilditch?

Oh, I see... maybe next time you'll pick an in-form bowler over one who's forgotten how to hit the pitch. But probably not.

  • don't be too hard on our Australian cricketers, it is winter

  • What do people think are the chances of getting some tickets for Monday?

  • Looks like rain monday,

  • Have we lost/won yet?

  • expecting a draw me thinks.. england will bat all day tomorrow weather permitting..

  • I know the English bat all day but what about the cricket?

  • 100 ahead. can England take wickets with the new ball? 30 odd overs to play before close today.

  • draw.
unless we can knock them down quickly, but I think clark and ponting will hold out long enough, even if the others don't.

if we bowl well, it'll be a nasty session for aus to survive tonight, but we need to just bowl on target and not try too hard

  • england bowlers have not reached a sufficient strike rate.. maybe the next spell will be more exciting.. Aus 172-4 leading by 59 runs

  • Have we won yet?

  • still everything to play for - hard to say how it's going to go, draw possibly most likely, win if we can knock them over in the next session

  • barring something spectacularly bad from the Aussies it'll be a draw.. I think that'd be justice for our ridiculous get out of jail in the first test where we were absolutely dominated

1-0 is basically the same as 2-1

  • i suppose so..

  • Shakespearean commentary. Now there's a thought...
    99.6
Broad to North, no run, hammered into the ground where Ian Bell doth lurk, and verily did he stop it with his handth

    Commentators obvoiusly bored shitless

  • I've spent all day follwoing this for it only to be a very boring finish, I doubt we'll even see England bat now.

  • all that hype yesterday at edgbaston flogging tickets for £25.. i was so tempted..
oh well, at least it was a full house today.

australia batted very convincingly by all accounts. Clarke and North putting in a solid partnership, to secure a draw and keeping their captain's reputation intact..

Strauss now regretting that dropped catch after lunch..

    headingley this friday?

  • so....this is the one. whos it gunna be?

  • draw, rained off..

  • Oh FFS...rain might be good now

  • not at all. a cloudless sky will be good (it's on it's way)

just found a live feed. no work done today then!

    second link is working.

  • Good start. Hopefully Clarke can take some wickets. No spinning option.

  • Sounds like they're going to take a wicket with every ball at the minute. Headingley is typically a batters pitch and we have no batting line-up to speak of now. I can't honestly believe how Bopara is still in the side, he's failed in six previous innings, seven today and I'm going to write off his eighth already. Eternal optimist me.
