We were playing Trivial Pursuit on my mates farm a couple of years ago. I piped up ad said something along the lines of "Oh my god!!! They spelled genius wrong on the box!"

It was the genus edition.

We've all made spelling errors. Only the other day I was trying to type 'Michael Shields' and it came out as 'failed murderer'.

Newbie to London, fixes & single speeds, would love a bit of insight into some terminology I have encountered on the forum. Any explanation/images would be great,.....educate a brother (foster) for the moment! Have a few more that escape me, but will post again. Thanks Jonny.

Ratbike: A bike that is styled to look 'ratty' or very worn. Think flat-black colour in a dystopian Mad Max style.

Beaters: A beater is a bike that can take a beating. Usually cheaper than your pride and joy and one you can rack up the miles on and ride though snow and salt on the roads etc.

Frankenbike: A bike put together with random parts; most likely bits you've found in the parts bin and bolted together. Not known for it's artistic merit.

Ratbike: HTFU
Hipster sled: OSCC
Anti: NSFW
Beaters: UTFS
Slave bikes: RE
Frankenbike: TNRC

One of the joys of riding in a group; getting hit in the face by the fallout of somebody clearing their nose. Second only to being hit in the face by a cigarette end thrown from a car window.

New to the forum and I don't know what half the things people say mean so...
What does ftfy, rat bike, beater and slave bike mean?
I think I missed out on some other words you all use so if you know other ones you see on the forum please tell me those n all!!
