At what point do you think that perhaps we no longer have any moral high ground and that the jerks on the forum may perhaps be us?

At some point we went from "this guy is saying some racist shit, let's tell him he's being a prick and perhaps explain why" all the way to "let's harass this guy, put his real name up, and start digging through his employment and make personal attacks".

Oh my god I've just noticed I'm still on page 84 of this stuff and there's two more pages to go. Does this resolve itself I ask myself? Is it worth continuing to read or should I give this thread a wide berth for a couple of weeks to let it return to being a signpost for this type of activity elsewhere in the forum but not actually here where it seems to have become a distraction from the vital task of being a signpost for this type of activity elsewhere in the forum.....?

Not sure how to break this to you, but somewhere around the middle of page 85 we all realised that Str was right all along, the gays and lesbians are evil, all the world leaders are Reptilian, and the Jews are responsible for the dusty pollen that blows off trees and starts hurting your eyes.

When I have more time I will read up on the genetics of hearing impairment- because I'm not sure about the truth of that statement- certainly it is true that more hearing impaired children are born of hearing parents, but I haven't had enough time to read whether that is simply due to sheer numbers, and I have other stuff I should probably be reading at the moment.

One of the more complicated factors is the different forms which hearing impairment can take. Couple that with the inherent polymorphic nature of the genetic element of the disease, and the teratogenic effects that could play apart- you've got yourself 1 complex condition.

I've heard of them too, and part of me understands their desire to have an extra connection with their kid.

Deafness as far as I know is the only disabilities that have a culture surrounded it, so understandably the deaf parents would like their child to be part of it.

But to imposed a disabilities in order for them to be part of it is just a step too far, especially when you needn't be deaf to be involved in a deaf culture.

In all fairness I didn't put his full name up. Or his picture, considered it though, so I think I still have the moral highground. He has closed his (unfounded) paypal case now though so he can't be all bad.

I'm not sure that happened, there were 2 posts out of hundreds? I googled his name, I was curious. There are a million and one people with his name. I posted one of then because he works for an airline so though It could be ironic.
