I ordered a 26x31 and a 28x31 cos I wasn't sure if my thighs/arse would be a 'problem'.
-
• #678
Aha cheers :) I ordered 28-33, I think that should be about right then. If not then expect to see some up for resale on here in the not-too-distant future...

You ladies are SUCH a bad influence (in the nicest possible way).
I ordered 3 pairs. I have no self control.

I've passed on responsibility for my irresponsible behaviour to Seraphinx. Not accepting the blame for this one. No siree :-).

I am using the excuse of new bike = new gear so I don't feel guilty ^_^

I don't think the betws are that amazing... but wearing today anyway. after all it's warmish out.
and yeah, what is up with womens sizes lately - I've got a rubbish waist-bum ratio (not much difference) but lately even I'm finding stuff too loose round the top. always had the opposite problem. although too skinny legs (in the trousers, not in me) is nothing new :/ -

Shops make sizes bigger so women can buy a size down and think they're smaller and then buy more clothes. English shops in particular are really bad for this. The measurements are so fucked up.

but trews used to have "wings" on the hips for me - not anymore!
also, talking sizes - I bought XL in AnaNichoola, which translates as a 14 (which is fairly normal for me) - really think that even if they're not making any bigger sizes, (fair enough, business decision) that it's not as if 14 is particularly big! -

Yeah sadly most women's lycra stuff only comes in XS- XL and even then comes up small. I have a tiny chest and the women's Vulpine S barely fits. It's just something we have to keep feeding back on and constantly pushing for change!

How is Kinoko doing for ladies garms Jess?
I'm after a nice cycling jersey - nicer/more distinctive than the ladies stuff you get in Evans et al but not as spenny as Rapha. Got anything to fit the bill?
Milltag for example have got lots of lovely jerseys atm but y u not do ladies fit? sadface

We only stock Castelli and Vulpine at the minute. The Castelli jerseys are ummm a bit glittery but actually you would look pretty good in them! They come in white/red, white/black. They come up quite small though. The Vulpine jerseys come in red, grey and blue. They are more or less normal sizes.

My howies betws arrived this morning, but JUST as I was leaving the house so I didn't get a chance to try them on. Soon...
But very excitingly my new raincoat arrived (at work, why don't I get everything delivered to work?) - it's a pearl izumi barrier elite jacket, and so far I like it. And of course, it rained on my ride in this morning, but the moment I opened the package and lifted out the raincoat the sun came out! Yes, you can thank me and my raincoat purchasing for the glorious summer we're about to have!

My Betws arrived at my desk a few minutes ago (at work). Interestingly they are both 28x31 and I could have sworn I'd ordered a 26 and a 28. I'll check my receipt shortly. In any event I will restrain myself from rushing to the bog to try them on and will wait til I get home. Hopefully.
Edit: Checked my receipt and I'd ordered 28s. I really must wear my glasses or make the font bigger in future.

My black ones arrived today, rocking them at work with my new DZR Tosca's :)

My 3 pairs arrived today and they FIT!!!!
So happy.
Was very worried about the sizing because most cycling things come up very small. -
• #694
Howies regular clothes are regular sizes. If anything the bottoms sometimes come up big - I have some 28 waist trousers, which I don't think has been true since I was at school! (not the Betwys, think they were samples which might explain things)

So now I have my cycling trousers, my cycling knickers, my ladies jersey...
Just need to errrrr ummm get on my bike. -

Where did you get your Tosca's? I kind of want a pair but want to try them on as I have weird feet.

DZR sent them to me. What size are you? Mine are a 41 I think. You could try them...
-
• #698
So I tried on the Betws and the waist is big enough to fit a small bus so I'll be sending them back later today or, more likely, Monday.

Ah thanks, but I'm a 38 or 39. Do you stock them at your shop?

What, they just sent them for free, like, celeb style?!
I am well jello, I just googled them and they look fuckin ace. If all bike shoes were like that I'd be sold on the clippy pedal business, but as it is I much rather being able to have normal footwear...
I'm a 26-31, Claira is a 28-31 if that helps. Although her legs are skinnier than mine :s My waistband has stretched a lot too.
