pops I have a womens gore waterproof thing in black, but it's a couple of years old and I can't see it anywhere online now... called paclite I think. it's properly waterproof and a nice cut, no pockets though.
this one if you see it anywhere: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/gore-bike-wear/power-ladies-jacket-ec011884 -

Didn't realise finding the perfect summer jacket would be such a faf! -

Come in and try the Levis Commuter jeans, we have them in a 30 for sure and they're pretty tight.
For jackets; Gore, Castelli and Chrome all awesome for plain black but a bit pricy...
-
• #655
Yeah was looking at some Chrome ones last night. Do you stock any of those jackets?
And the Levi's are mens right? Worth a try though! Might pop in tomorrow on my lunch break if i have time :) -

My Gore Countdown one was good but did stop being waterproof. And the zip on the stuff pack pocket broke.
I did really like it until it stopped being waterproof though.

I am also loving the Uniqlo suggestion (although I doubt they will do sizing big enough for my bum/thighs)
I've also been riding around in Primarni jeans - their super soft, super skinny black effort on pretty much daily basis for about 4 months and they are yet to wear out, yet, thin enough to be fine for city riding without padded shorts. All for a bargain £11.
Also love my swrve jeans but i've got the regular fit ones, rather than skinny...

...sizing big enough...
poots, they fit me, they'll fit you!
bonus is that there's no way in hell i am a 28, but in my current uniqlo, i am. -

We have some of the Chrome jackets but not all of the range. I'll check for you. Capo do a good thin black rain jacket that folds down tiny, around £50 but think it's men's sizes. A small would be fine.

Lots of Mavic ladies stuff in the CRC sale:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Offers.aspx?Offer=1&BrandIDs=16I have the mens version of this jacket which I really rate:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=55052
(I've never really found any jacket to be breathable, so I prefer actually waterproof+zipped vents) -

I have/had uniqlo jeans but they always wear through on the bum :( I really like uniqlo stuff (especially my awesome heat tech knitted shorts) but I just don't rate the jeans. I feel like I'm doing something wrong!!
In other news - and apologies for the oversharing - I bought the M&S underpants that people were raving about, and they're great!
-
• #662
I love those pants so!

• #663
Are you looking for black jeans? Swerve do a skinny pair, bit not sure if they do black. I've had a few pairs and they are awesome. Super comfy, hard wearing and quick drying. Also, apparently they do two weights now?
-
• #664
I love those pants so!
They are on offer online at the moment 3 pairs for £10 according to the website. Quote LINGERIE on checkout.

Anyone looking for a Swrve 3/4 softshell in olive green? it's the original women version before they stopped doing it, it's XS, smaller than the 28 they currently sell.

I've taken a gamble and ordered myself a small Chrome de Haro Jacket
I'm hoping it'll fit!Now onto the search for jeans. Levis and swrves are ruled out due to fit, so next stop Uniqlo! Thanks for everyones suggestions!

I got some too! They're the best pants ever! Although since I looked at them online that one time every customised advert banner now reminds me of the entire M&S pants range, which is a bit embarrassing when in college and people look over my shoulder and go "Oooh been lingerie shopping eh?"

The next ladies ride we'll all be in matching jerseys and matching pants :)

Those howies betws are down to £9 on their website... I may have to check them out!
-
• #672
I may have pulled the trigger on two pairs of the Howies.
Seraphinx, I'm blaming you. .
-
• #673
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat, when I tried to get my betws changed for a different size they told me there was absolutely no more left and they wouldn't get any more in so I then bought them from SportPursuit for more money. Angry face.

• #674
Balls, why did I post about this?
I bet they'll all be gone when I go to buy some now! Are they really that great? Am suspicious of buying things I can't try on... ¬_¬ -
• #675
Oh WHOOPS, I've just ordered a pair of betws too... I have no idea what size I am though so I just guessed, hopefully they'll be alright.
Awesome, gonna check out Uniqlo for jeans/leggings then! Thanks for the suggestions :)
Scoot, I was thinking Rapha for the jacket, but had a look and couldn't really tell which one was best for a summer jacket, and yeah, one was just in navy.
Jess, I think I'm a 30" waist. I have some swrve shorts which are the mens cigarette ones, in a 30" and they seem ok. However I don't think the cut of the full length would suit me, as I prefer quite skinny jeans.
In terms of budget, I'm happy to spend more if it's going to get me a better quality item that will last longer (which is what i'd hope from Rapha), but equally if a cheaper option looks nice and will do the job then i'd probably go with that.
I also had the though this evening that instead of a waterproof summer jacket, I could instead get a nice non-waterproof jacket, and then a thin waterproof that could be folded up small and put in a bag.
Not sure though of having 2 items vs just the one!
