  • What do they look like MG?

  • Plain black, some with a red stripe, some with a pink. I haven't tried them on yet, they only had XS left (here's hoping I can pour my thighs into them!) so if they don't fit I'll post them up as freebies.

  • Sorry to cross post but in case anyone is free tomorrow and on the look out for some parts and clothes (mainly cycling clobber), this jumble http://www.lfgss.com/thread84326.html is happening tomorrow in Kennington - Balfe's Bikes are also bringing some new ladies' gear over from their Dulwich store for us.

  • I just treated myself to 2 pairs of dhb bibs.
    24quid each, bargain.
One in thicker roubaix fabric http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-ladies-pace-roubaix-34-padded-bib-tights/,
and the other one in much thinner one for the summer http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-ladies-pace-padded-34-bib-tights/
As much as i like my rapha's and assos i won't be buying them again (unless heavily reduced) as they wear out as easily as any other shorts.
They're not perfect, but fit nicely (they're generous in sizing) and at 24quid it's a steal.
So girls, if you're after 3/4 bibs grab yourself a bargain.

  • Nice Ada!

Anyone got these or heard much about them??

  • Not women specific but I bought some waist 28 men's Swrve shorts off Nurseholliday and they fit just like high-waisted hotpants (with the bottoms rolled up a few times of course)! Awesome!

Sorry for the pic of my arse,

  • Speaking of swrve I'm about to post a 15% discount page for all LFGSS members courtesy of the lovely Chris. So check the Swrve thread tomorrow

  • Yes! Summer Swrve discount time!

  • How is the waist Scoot? A bit big? I think we're similar sizes but I always thought the 28 would be far too big for me...

  • It's a little loose, but it's nice having a bit of extra room for riding/eating lots of food, and you can't really tell unless I actually pull the waistband away because of the shape.

I thought 28 would be a lower hip-hugging fit on me, especially as they're supposed to be mens, but the sizing comes up pretty small actually.

  • Hmmm I wonder if the trousers fit the same...

    Thanks!

  • Jess, i was thinking of going to SWRVE again to try some trousers.
Sizing is different on each model so i won't be risking ordering from the website.

  • Can you let us know when/if you go Ada - and if you're happy for people to tag along that is!

  • I'd like to go with you Ada if I can? Let me know when you were thinking...

  • Pm'd you both

  • I'd like to confirm size 28 in the 3/4s do come up small. I visited Chris earlier and will be collecting my two pairs once I've been paid. Yipee!!

  • Awesome, did anyone go Monday? I'd still like to go! (get paid Friday :D)

  • Monday didn't work out.
I'm planning to pop in there on my lunch break tomorrow.

  • ^^ That's my main concern, which is why it takes me an age to find jeans that fit my legs and doesn't gape too much at the waist due to my shapely derriere :-).

I am happy to report the Swrve 3/4s are fabulous for my shape. Minimal gap at the back. Will treat myself to a pair of the 'longs' in time for winter, funds permitting.

Now I just need to find regular undies I can roll around London in. I'm thinking boys boxer shorts...........

Edit: Just Googled and there are boxer shorts for women. I really need to get out more........

  • 'Fess up ladies. Who bought the last 28 Swrve shorts? :P

  • Did you really mean the "last 28" or "the last size 28"? Good business for Chris either way :-).

  • hmm really quite tempted by some 3/4s now... regular cotton or skinny? I like the look of the skinnies from the side (on the website) do the regular ones have similar features? I don't generally fit skinny cut anythings...

  • Did you really mean the "last 28" or "the last size 28"? Good business for Chris either way :-).

Haha! I meant the last size 28". Oh well, it's probably best that I can't get my hands on any right now, not like we're having much of a summer :P

  • my cotton 3/4s just arrived, and they're pretty snug. I got 31s. I think they're the right size - I usually wear trousers with a belt so will be nice to go without - though I kinda feel like going to try on some 32s now...

  • I find it is worth trying stuff on from swerve. All the cuts/fabrics seem to come up differently on me. I've got jeans & shorts ranging from 32-36, and all fit nicely!
