We didn't advertise that it could be washed at 40 degrees C.Would you expect us to replace it if you fell off your bike? Would that be our fault too?
You bought the jersey on the content of the ad. The ad is 100% accurate, you wore the jersey as you were happy with it therefore you were happy that the item was aqs described in the ad.
You have then somehow managed to damage it and want us to replace it?

You didn't wash it as specified as it states to wash it at 40C not in cold water in a handwash. You bought the jersey, liked it, wore it and have now damaged it.
Once you accepted the item and wore it, thats where our responsilibity ends.
How you look after it from there on in is up to you.

Hi,I'm sorry that your not happy with the jersey but there is nothing that we can do, the jersey was delivered to you in a timely manner and in perfect condition. The problems only occurred AFTER you had worn it (at which point you must of been pleased with it to wear it). We cannot legislate for what you do to the jersey once you recieve it.
Cheers

we have sold 97 of these jerseys and have never had any complaints about them. You may have washed it too warm. -

"We didn't advertise that it could be washed at 40 degrees C"
Absolute class ;-D
I had a similar chat with a guy from LUSSO, after I hand washed a lightweight rain jacket and the inner membrane parted from the outer, he swore blind that I had machine washed it at 60 degrees C - what a twonk

^ Would you expect us to replace it if you fell off your bike? Would that be our fault too?
Yes, I was looking down at my jersey to see how the colours had run, when I hit the kerb and went arse over tit 8-D

• #34
is there a label in the jersey advising how to wash the item?
-
• #35
Hmm, im very tempted to! if he doesnt give me money back i will, if he does i wont il just give him neutral feedback and tell you guys hes been a real arse to deal with and to not buy from him if hes selling something cotton. . .

Why did you change your post!? and yes it said 40 degrees c. . .
-
• #37
It does say 100% cotton in the ad.
But then again, you should be able to wash an item of clothing and reasonably expect it not to run colours like it has..
-
• #38
If there's a label on the jersey saying it can/should be washed at a certain temperature or less, and it says 40, then you're entitled to your money back! 'cause it ran colours at 40..!
Omg, we've won the case! Cracked the nut! Fucken pissed in his taco! :)
-
• #39
Haha but it just says 40 nothing else. . . which is annoying, reckon im still entitled for my money back?
and hippy - the photos dont do it justice, all of the white is pink now. . . its ridiculous, unwearable. . how come i have plenty of T-shirts that are cotton and the colour never seeps out!? the water it was washed in is now fucking red! -

Just recieved this from him on the paypal dispute after he declined the refund :/
The item was listed thoroughly and accurately. if you had any questions about the item you could of asked us. You bought it and was more than happy with it, enough so that you wore it the same day it arrived. You then washed and damaged it = not our fault
How in a blue fuck© (licensed by edscoble™) was it listed accuratley, i did not see "the colour will run when washed" in the listing at all!?

vintage means that its old and as such a bit more fragile.
so if you washed it in a washing machine with modern detergents, i cannot help but think it is your own fault. -

There's probably an invisible L next to the 40..it stands for "Lol, you bought our shit jersey! Don't contact us if you feed it after dark or get it wet, we won't refund! P.S. The 40 isn't degrees, it's just a random number..like 12, or 24"
Sorry, that wasn't very helpful..I'm getting bad manners from this forum here..
How's the paypal dispute going?

Ah, that sucks man! His argument is totally shit though! It's like trying to get a refund 'cause your phone fell apart in your hands, and the guy in the shop saying "Damn, you bought it and took it out the box and were happy. How the fuck was I supposed to know you were gonna push buttons on it as well??"
Hope the dispute will go in your favor though, keep us here posted! -

Haha, wow lots of funny replies tonight :) oh well it was worth it for the laughs even if i dont get anything out of it!
TBH, you've already hit him where it hurts - there aloads of forum goers that will steer well clear of him now. I know thats no consolation, but its a start, hopefully you will win your paypal claim.
I hate people like him - what ever happened to the customer is always right ?
