• checking trains to London if it's not raining before the last train in at 23:30 i'll be on it.

  • Finished patching holes with liberal use of superglue a few mins ago. Still undecided but will know by midnight.

  • I'm out : (

Sounds sensible ... rest up. Looking dry out there now - still in, but catch up with you at SN rather than Greenwich. Don't fail me now, Cafewanda!

  • Oh God. The pressure! :-)

    Off for an hour's kip.

  • (no pressure - but it would be great to see you there)

  • Damn train cancelled
    Well have great one....
I'll probably head along the River and try and get some Pics of the Sunrise...
    Will try for next Year.!!!!

  • have fun people! might join you for breakfast...

  • ^ I was also in two minds about this ride, but hey, that's schizophrenia for ya.

I have decided to go come rain or shine

I tweeted this a few mins ago and not observing the predictive text ended up saying "leaving curry sack gdns 2am"

    curry sacks...yum

  • Off to bed, see you guys in a bit!

    xxx

  • wow 1 hour's power nap!
Now I feel more tired than before. But, on the up-side, just poked my nose outside and it's really mild, no stars, but mild. No Cutty Sark Gdns or Sthk Needle?

  • Having some cereal now. Metcheck weather rep looks promising.

  • I'm in town and feeling psyched :) and underprepared :/

  • Just woke up! Quick cup of tea and then I'm off, see you in a bit!

    xxx

    EDIT
Forgot to add for identification purposes I'm the guy in the Lady Gaga jumper.

  • Wish I was there! Don't worry - Colin and Pete who are leading will look after you. It's no distance really...

  • I'm at curry sark gardens. One other here, but who?

  • ride accomplished, the sun finally came out as we arrived back at London Bridge, and stayed out for an al fresco fry up. the apparently abandoned iphone belonged to another of the cafe's patrons, who seemed slightly confused as to why Austin had given it to some girls to cycle off with :)
I'll go drop it back there...

  • @ hoefla - lol. That's funny.

Lovely ride and met some lovely people. That fryup was worth it.

  • That was good, I love night rides. In fact I might like it if there was that little motorised transport at all times...
Well done Colin, Pete, Ten, all those who helped and of course Barry.

  • That was a good ride! I skipped the fry-up opting to go home for a powernap before heading to work.
Couldn't fall asleep so have now not sleept for 28-29 odd hours.
Today is going to be a good day!!!

  • What a great night! Thanks to all the organisers - and Hoefla for the cafe recommendation. Time for work - feeling a liiiittle wobbly still!

  • saibot - you are either mad or a genius. I've got the day off and had a snooze but feel like I've not slept. Strong coffee and movement might help me.

KT - hold it down :-).

  • That was indeed fun, but I'm confused as to why I went to Curry Sark gardens at 2 in the morning...

The was (sadly) no curry to be seen there.

Loved the ride and the fryup, one of the best non-greasy greasy spoon fryups I've ever had I think.

Thanks to all who organised and ran it, I think I need a bit more sleep now.

  • yep, that was fun! There's always more than a hint of madness on these in-town night rides. I loved the thought of those gentle, slightly odd folk camped out at the top of primrose hill, with their candles and goblets, all calm and serene unrolled 50 cyclists suddenly descend on them!

thanks to Greenwich & southwark cyclists for organising, and for a fine chappeau to Barry Mason.

  • ... a was planning to take either the morning or the whole day off, but by the time I got home I felt fine so ended up putting in a 9 hour day. So that's 48 hrs with only 1.25 hrs sleep. I think I'll sleep like a baby tonight - hopefully not waking up crying for a bottle and wetting myself

  • also nice to meet tobias/sailbot, finally meet digger and have another chat with cafewanda. I really should make the effort to ask people their name - and then try and remember it. So, hi anyone else on here I spoke to last night.

That's enough posting for me, otherwise folks will start to call me Pat
