    for going out your way to do our bike thrills posters they look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

    I got some more prizes today and got the posters out, Billys came through for £200
    worth of stuff, Howes gave us a computer and so did Ben Haywards worth £44 each
    and our very on Rick is giving 3 £40 vouchers and t-shrits and Mr Fox with mallet heads
    and i got 2 t-shrits too,

    Just had a nice phone call from Phillipa from the pavillion to confirm what they are doing, they will open the cafe at 11 and close at 3. They will serve bacon butties, tea, coffee, soft drinks and squash.

    I did ask if they could provide a vegetarian option, and they said they couldn't really do anything veggie, so it looks like you lot will have to get your grub from waitrose etc

  • Also, the bogs and changing rooms will be open from 930.

    It is a traditional yearly event of carnage of ancient vehicular destuction . May be muddy £12 entrance , Will is our guide being a retired "vet " banger man ( also its a few days after his Buffday ) . Any poloers interested in coming along ? A great way to get in the zone before a tournament .

    should we start to think about tourneys and such like seeing as our wicked indoor court has only but a few months left of use before travelodgilation?
    as i said before in polo thread, i'm happy to do a bit of organising. i'm well up for getting invites out for a standard 3 per side tourney when the grief (bench minor) masters are going down. i need some help with a flyer design, but want to make it happen! it's only a few weeks away now, best time to hit polo peeps with it! what say ye?

  • i'm still up for getting the groundwork done for a tourney, means less to do later on i guess. I'm only thinking currently about pencilling in some dates and making up some flyers, etc. Won't make it official until the court is perfect.

    as always i'm up for helping out with court work if i can. lee's on the goals? we're gonna use Angelos big ladder to retrieve the three sodium lights but he doesn't know how to get the ladder there? plus, painting the court. any thing else the untrained can be doing? i could bring a mop and bucket down...

    tom, i'll have a think today and PM you some ideas! facebook is worth doing, but posting in the various polo forums seems to have more effect and reaches the same if not more people.

    matt, i remember you saying you've already got a good sponsor list going, maybe worth hitting them up with some feelers right about now see what they can do for a tourney provisionally in early/mid February.

    digi scoreboard looks great, i've asked an electrician if there's anything he can do (plus asked if he has spare sodium lights). he owes me a fair bit so i'm banking on something to happen.
    polo meetings are always good! perhaps a tête à tête on the sofa?

    I don't mind doing this at all, early Feb is probably a bit soon realistically for a good number of replies. I really think we should set a date and have an estimate of numbers before we approach anyone. We can talk more about this, I'd rather discuss it properly than on the forum. Perhaps Saturday or even Sunday before or after polo we can sit down for 30 minutes and have a chat. I think all of the kinks should be ironed out of the court before we do any of this also.

  • In fact, not wanting to be too secret squirrel, I think we should discuss the majority of this in person rather than on a forum, to save people just picking up odd bits and pieces.
