That was a excellent ride! And so many lovely ladies.
Highlight for me was definitely peeing in the bushes, no just joking.
Clefty and Miss Socks thanks again for organizing everything. The route was very gentle and scenic.
I think we should do another one by the end of the summer.
Hopefully see some of you at souths? If not see you at the next one! whoop! -

Wiped the layer of grime off my face and started to treat the sunburn - it was an awesome ride ladies!
Huge thanks to Clefty, Miss_Socks and everyone that stopped traffic for organising/spokecards/saving our asses from being pancaked, and also for the beer, brownies, and good times from everyone else.
Great to meet everyone! Hope the penny is up and running soon.

Thanks for a lovely day - it was a pleasure riding with you all. Hurrah for the weather (no rain on us despite those black clouds!) and boo for weird sunburn patches I have just discovered. Looking forward to the next one.

I need something to balance the sweaty hairy arses I've just been forced to stare at for the last few hours.

Hey all
What a fab day yesterday, thanks Clefty and Miss_Socks and all the ladies who came along and a special thanks to Johanna Lumley who was a passenger in a smart car waiting at the lights next to us and gave me a big smile. Oh and i mustn't forget JimBilly who was at the departure tending to brakes and stuff but mainly grinning. And on the ride were someone I met at Burning Man and a colleague whom I only knew by phone. Small world!
The penny was excellent, how many tourists at Buckingham Palace got their photo taken next to it? And the look on people's face, specially the Richmond Park's roadies.
The Coach and Horses was very civilised last night compared to the wild and loud Monday nights :)

Big thanks to Clefty and Miss Socks, the traffic stoppers and all the riders for a terrific day out. The weather was wonderful, the picnic was tops and I met and chatted to lots of lovely people - hoping to go climbing with some of you soon.
It sounds like the rest of the ride (post-putney) was just as good. Glad I spotted the the crack in the frame before it spread any further, but it was a shame I had to cut the day short and I missed out on beers. I definitely needed one when I eventually got home. Hoping to have it fixed asap.

A memorable moment for me was when a policeman asked me to get off my bike when I was cycling down the mall. He said I might scare the horse guards who were parading along the road. Ha. I obviously need a sticker - 'Warning: This bike might scare horses'.
