  • He rides on a German license.

He's also rumoured to be working with Dr Michele Ferrari so I'd maintain he was German for the time being, just in case he gets busted. ;p

Really? I was holding off saying I don't trust him this year.

  • watched it in Italia Uno, the last half an hour. shame couldn't join you boys down at Offside. proving a bit tricksy with work commitment.

i ain't badmouthing that winner today. loved the look on his face as he approached the line.

  • Haussler rode brilliantly, his descent riding style a bit suspect though..

  • Ha! It's always suspicious when riders experience a sudden improvement in performance. Let's hope the suspicions aren't confirmed.

But ... like most sprinters/classics riders, he is a superb bike handler.

  • indeed... Haussler deserves his stage victory.. the crowd numbers were also impressive despite the weather..

The commentators on the feed I was watching mentioned he will be racing with an ozzy license next year. Don't know if that means anything to anyone?

  • Haussler is Australian I think..
    Gerolsteiner held him back..
I think Cervelo give their riders more license to attack

  • He was born and raised in Australia but his dad is German. He moved to Germany when he was a teenager to further his cycling career. I believe he's planning to take out an Australian license in time for the Worlds in Melbourne, which is next year I think?

  • he put in a beautiful ride today. that is all i care about.

+1 for Aussies and Germans everywhere..

  • Cav and Columbia needs to put pressure on again tomorrow and stay in contention for Green Jersey.. Colmar to Besancon has three intermediate sprints and a bunch sprint finish predicted..

fucking assholes. dont they realise whats at stake here? if they had hit one of thos guys in the eye they wouldn't find it so ammusing im sure

  • Haussler sounds more aussie than me. He has been performing well all year and I would like to hope it's due to the new team and not some jungle juice. Great ride from him and he deserves it after all his seconds in the classics. Another break should get it today. Who will go?
