Bradley has got his time back, the commissars said that the split was due to the crash in the final bend. Back in 5th place :-)

Finally, some common sense.

New hot topic of the day then, if Wiggins, with his 15 seconds back actually manages to pull a TdF win out of the hat and thus inevitably wins Sports Person of the Year Award, will Cav kill him in the face.
-
• #1105
If he pulled out a tdf GC win then he probably would get sports personality of the year.. Then again, if England won the ashes neither Wiggins or Cavendish would stand a chance

horatio and I are watching today's stage at Offside on City Road if anyone fancies joining us...

England will not win the Ashes, not that I really care. Brad won't win the yellow jersey this year, which is sad. His only hope would be to get into a breakaway which he won't be allowed to because of his standing in the GC. Despite everything he cannot beat Contador on Ventoux. But he's only 28 so there's hope for the future.

individual time trial, could prove you wrong Clive!

do they have wifi?
-

edit: scratch that question. working from home with the tour on is one thing. taking laptop to a pub is quite another....

Today will be interesting, I think the finish will suit Thor better as it has a climb right at the end - but you never know.

I might head down in about an hour or so.

• #1113
Ed, I hope that you're right.

Doubtful given that Contador beat Wiggins in the prologue of Paris-Nice this year and in the prologue. For a man of his size, Contador is a remarkable time triallist.

Btw, an anonymous French rider has accused Cavendish of being racist;

The crash at 14k today with Vande Velde could allow Wiggo leadership of Garmin and might help him but, perhaps not enough to do anything other than a hopeful top 5.

Have you read some of the comments? A bit special

Very special. At least someone has identified the difference between xenophobia and racism.

The French hate it when people out-arrogant them :P

isn't hating everyone a seminal part of being manx?

is that why France and America seem to not like each other then?
-
• #1122
As a French speaking American I'm really unable to answer that in an unbiased manner.

merde

whatever... cavendish is as fast as fuck but he does, of course, come across as an arrogant prick. surely everyone knew that already? personally i never understood why we all 'hate on' the french.
-
• #1125
I don't 'hate on' the French. I just thought it interesting to post this on another dull stage.
Is it just me or is week two of this Tour remarkably similar to a normal opening week of the Tour?
Cav said after the stage that he liked the green glasses so I assume they're not the normal ColumbiaHTC team ones.. That said I saw a few of his team-mates wore green glasses too
