the Charge slightly more sexy in my view.
This is factually incorrect.

fuck it
if you are buying a bike for appearances find one where the handlebars are close to your hand in a walking position
this way you dont have to ride the fucking thing but you will be able to look cool and nonchalant when walking along with it
Hahah - so I guess you make your bikes to look crap so you can say that looks don't mean anything, that it is about the art, the act of doing, the act of creation, the zen - read 'Zen and the art of motorycle maintenance' by any chance?
No you are probably one of those that has identified himself with a movement to be different, but by doing so has actually conformed to a set of standards to seek out mates - but that eventually evolves into delusion as the group expands and goes mass - then he identifies himself as part of the original hardcore, old skool crew amongst which he bitches that nubies just don't get it anymore. What bollocks. The 'look' is a criteria, get over it, so is price, feel on the saddle, technical specs, and customer service. Doing a self build is an option that may come, but an otp serves a purpose, don't judge it.

You have asked our opinion. Many have suggested you try some bikes and get the one that fits you best.
I would rather ride a ratty lookin bike that fits than a pretty but uncomfortable one. Probably because I enjoy cycling.
If you are asking which of the bikes looks best then most will say neither is particularly attractive but looks are entirely subjective.
Re my bikes - they are built up to fit me first and then with long lasting durable components appearance is not the highest priority.

I read Zen & the blah blah blah, it's about a leaking tap and it's only purpose is to make people sound like a twat if they ever ask anyone else if they have read it. Rather than trying a Charge for size ask a mate (preferably a fat awkward one) to give you a piggy back to work and back for a week, that'll give you as good a feel for it as anything.

I quite like how the Langster Steel looks. And I've always enjoyed riding my Charge, even though it weighs as much as a small flock of sheep.
Sorry. :(

looks mint tho' innit

By a Langster which doesn't fit you, then after realising that indeed it doesn't fit, try to sell it for the same price you paid. Then you will be forced to split the bike to recover the costs. I will buy the frame off you for £200. It's going to look nice as a hooligan bike with moustache bars...

If you hasn't change the stock tyres, that'll make a huge difference.

Are the stock tires 28's on the charge? They look much wider than that.

Feels light as air compared to my BMX, which is all I really have to compare it to.

Yeah, I always felt that the heaviness of the plug was a bit overstated. My old Plug was solid but it wasn't a tank.

Buy both. Ride one with your left foot, and one with your right, whilst straddling both frames. Easy.
looks won't mean shit if you aren't comfortable on it.
all these bikes have fairly garbage stock kit (pista aside) but that's the point of them - easy and painless to drop off the basics and replace with bling(tm).
