Are you that thick? I have answered you in post 67
How about www.i'macarlovingtwatthatdefendspeoplethatkillcyclists.com

• #78
I'm sorry I didn't see anything about me being wrong or an apology there.
I tried that link but it said page not found, are there any alternatives?
It says I defend people who kill cyclists, I thought I just semi-defended the driver, and he didn't kill anyone, well not on that video anyway, is there a forum for people who semi-defend truck drivers?
You never did answer me when I asked what semi-defending meant either...

Dave, seriously fucking grow up, you're the type of people who actually create a 'us vs. them' situation when there isn't one.
-

That is something like instant karma. The instant he forms the thought 'Looks like a bit of a risk I might hurt those cyclists, but I'll carry on as I'm in a hurry' he ends up smashing someone's property and getting caught on camera doing it. The fact that cyclists were endangered kind of lessens the karma aspect, though.
Fixed.Yeah, we don't know he's actually malicious. It's easy to assume malice on the part of drivers when often they probably are just not thinking.

Grow up?
All i'm saying is that mmccarthy is on the wrong forum
He is always the first to say "see it from the drivers side"
But cyclists don't kill people when they make mistakes.
This is a bike forum

facepalm
Look at it this way, if something goes wrong, and a large number of people jump to the side of one person, i'll say to look at both sides, encouraging people to see it from both points of view, as they don't need encouraged to see it from the point of view of the person they're defending, i'll encourage them to look at it from the other point of view. If this was on another forum and everyone was blaming the cyclists, I would ask them to put themselves in the cyclists shoes, did you get that?
And i'm still bloody waiting for you to prove me wrong or accept that you were wrong, please.

Ok what did you mean when you said
He was hardly going that fast, looks like about 20 or less.
When he obviously was ?
and
It looks like they're in a different lane though
????
-

He's not going much faster than the cyclists at that point, who look like they're riding very relaxed, hence why I thought he was going about 20 or less.
If you have to question that last part, i'm sorry but there's really not even any point in going any further in this discussion with you.

I thought the same.
Go and masturbate over a car in the car thread..........

It's good to see you're consistent in you're maturity, have a good evening sir.

Dave, you really need to get over your hatred for motorised vehicle.
I bet if someone drove over an ASL (quite by accident), you'd yell at them as if they've killed someone.

Nah I don't hate the motorized vehicle
Only people who forget that it is very easy to kill when driving a car.
And car drivers should have a greater sense of responsibility because of that fact.
How can that be an accident?
-

A while ago when I was with my mother in her car, she drove over an ASL not realising it until I told her that's she on an Advanced Standing Line, it was genuinely a simple mistake because she wasn't looking for it, she was looking at the traffic, the light, the junction etc.
now she doesn't drive over ASL once she realise her mistake.
so yes, it can be a simple accident.

I'm sorry if this starts another debate, but i've gotta pull you up on something here, you think cyclists should be less responsible on the roads than motorists?
Everyone shares the road, everyone should bear the same responsiblity.
-
• #91
pretty much, cyclists are part of the traffic after all, not against it.
-
• #92
Get back in the Car Thread and F1 Thread you tits! ;-)

Nope
All I was saying that car drivers can kill in a second because of lack of concentration. Cylcist can't. Therefore car drivers should concetrate more.
The same as saying lorry drivers have blind spots. So therefore they should be more careful when taking corners.

so yes, it can be a simple accident.
So it's her fault for not concentrating enough - she should have been looking for it. What if there was a cyclist there?
-

...so you're saying that car drivers should concentrate more, and should have a greater sense of responsiblity, but not that cyclists should be less responsible?

Dave, have you actually met Michael in person?
I have, and I can assure you that he is nothing like what you seem to assume.
It is in any case very bad form to jump from a small point like that to such personal insults.
The worst thing we can do on the streets is to assume that there's some sort of class war going on and adopt stereotypes of people just because we happen to encounter them while they're using a mode of transport that is different from ours.
Some drivers may only be using a car on that day and perhaps the only time that week or month. Many others are simply victims of a motor dependence from which they can't escape. As a user of a vastly superior mode of transport, you can afford to give them some consideration in view of this regrettable victimhood.
Yes, this driver was driving carelessly, and yes, he could have killed someone. However, instead of speculating over the appropriate level of blame for his actions, let's just be glad that he didn't actually kill anyone. Whatever the exact facts are of what happened, it was certainly a very unusual thing to happen.

if there's a cyclists there then she just waited behind them, simple.
we're all human after all, even pilot in big jumbo jet.

Have you or Micheal met me?
What's your point?
It is in any case very bad form to jump from a small point like that to such personal insults.
Says who..........
It's not a small point it's from the point he joined this forum........

As I have said before......... I am not against cars in any way....
-
• #99
Of course you're not against cars, you just see them as weapon, not transport.
-
• #100
I remember being against a car once. It hit me, and there I was, against it. Those remain the only cars I'm against. The ones that hit folks.
Apart from the one Ed mentioned none.
Please answer, I answered you when you asked, you ignored mine.
Please don't trey to avoid it.
P.S. If you could point me in the direction of the right forum, I think that'd be just super.
