What a brilliant night, the sun was shining the tune were bumping (even if a bit to quietly).
It was great to meet some new forum faces.
And the cocktails! what a treat!
Will definately be along to the next one - and good work guys for getting this all together.

i had a great time last night, thank you all. another venue worth thinking about is the hob goblin in new cross. they occasionally have dj music led nights there. they have a sizable garden area and the inside patio area where the dj's are normally set up is so close to the outside most of the above concerns should be covered. at the hobgoblin i don't think they would have objections to cycles being left in the garden.

i did have the owner run over to me a couple of times fiddling with the knobs and ripping the guts out of good music with the twist of dial.

if i find my camera i'll put my pics up later. i think i left it at the bar. (its called doing a katt)

they tend to be very good with bikes but if loads of us turn up maybe not so

theres a feller called 'dj kleenex' who plays on weekends and there is no dj equipment,also the same problem with people outdoors/no 'dancefloor' will pop up

Scott, Aram clued me into this type of music so it's all thanks to him!

Coppi, I hope you do find your camera, I'm keen to see other photos from the night...

I really enjoyed yesterday, sorry to hear the bad points, I didn't notice. It was fun watching Corny shakin' his shoulders while eating.

Who was the dude doing drunk skid practice outside? Turns out when you crashed into my bike you did do some damage, nothing permanent, just enough to keep me irritatingly occupied for a few hours.

We were all in south london!
I for one walked away with m wallet, kidneys and both wheels on my bike and dignity. I didn't buy a plastic bowel of fruit or a bag of garden cuttings from a man hanging around near a bridge. i failed to get hair extensions and the only thing pulled on me was a digital camera..

in my book that is a MAhooosive Bright TImes result..
The pork crackling i am going to over look. they might have served it had they been serving food.. you could say i am being picky

Of course Plastic People would be an ideal venue but for a club night, very much focused on music.

One alternative is the Ramshackle in Fulham - bizarre location but it has an amazing sound system, the guy who set it up used to own recording studios around London and is a nut about the sound. Saw Ian Dewhurst (who compiled the Mastercuts series of comps) and Greg Wilson play there last year, it is probably the only place that would give Plastic People a run for its money on the sound front (discounting the Klipshcorn speakers used for the Mancuso loft parties).

....but Fulham though, won't it be full of Aussies and 'Hugo's' in rugby shirts and loafers?

i just got back from bar story and while there spoke to the owner. he said that if he had known he would have let you use the gallery space at the back with the yard.

so its another option to consider i guess. they have beer on tap, if we wanted to do our own bar b q he would be cool with it or he can do it and the bonus is that there would not be the same sound issues as its slightly tucked away. from the back doorway it was across the road in another railway arch. its all painted white so if you wanted projections up also it would be fine he said.

i was doing drunken skid practice with some other dude who was on a brakless ridgeback..... i don't remember crashing in to anyone though!...... i do remember scaring someone as i did a drunken 180 skid around them..... but no crashing.
