I've just ordered a cheap sashimi knife. Cheers all.
Update when (or if) it arrives. -

Knife people. I found this in my father-in-laws house. Spanish. Never been used.
But what earthly use would you have for a knife like this, aside from stabbing fuckers up or murdering prostitutes? Why would he have bought this? Anything legit?

Jokes aside, it's a hunting knife.
Spainards are quite into hunting aren't they?

If you were to shoot deer, and had to gut and clean one before hauling it back from the wild, and then skin and butcher it so you could eat bits of it you’d need just such a knife.

Also good for camping. Chop some branches, build a shelter or a raft.
Is the blade stamped? Any info on the box?

It's not that one. Different handle. I think it comes under the heading of Outdoor https://muela.eu/manufacturas_muela_producto.php?nid=3&sfid=11 About 40 quid's worth. Use it for opening parcels.

That’s going to be pretty useless for camping or gutting deer, appealing to a 14 year old on a school trip….perfect.
(I’m a former Scout Leader so have known a lot of 14 year olds whose greatest dream is to be dropped in a jungle with just a knife and a small tin containing fishing line, a wire saw etc.)

No.
But I still have an absolutely massive butterfly knife somewhere that I bought as a kid. I assume my when sorting through my stuff people will be equally as confused.

I am now thinking of making a box of weird to be found after I perish.
Thinking:
Gaffer tape
Vaseline
A book on "how to find Bigfoot"
Half a packet of werthers originals
A map of the Isle of Wight with "HERE" scrawled across it.
Mix tape with Cotton Eye Joe looped -
