We need pictures, name and shame guys.
I think this is the bike in question. Brakeless without straps?
On another note, I've got a pair of 28c Gatorskins for sale (Used on my commuter, has some flint cuts but obviously nothing that goes through the tyre) - £25?

Half the fun of riding fixed is doing fuck off great skids, probably pushes that bike more than rides it.

Trying to clear out some more bike bits that I've accumulated (will update this as I dig things out):
Kryptonite Evolution Mini 5 - well used but still works well, comes with 3 keys and a bike mounting bracket (not that you'd use that!) - £20

I have lurked here for several years with an 'unratified' user ID so I guess I can use this as an opportunity to get full posting rights...
The Burls is mine - I swim and use the track at Iffley Rd.
It's 18 months old and every pedal stroke is a joy.

well, I agree.
Except my wheels (Phil Wood low flange, 32H Pacenti SL23s, Sapim Race spokes) have a set of Atomic22 track nuts.
Also on stem cap, bar clamp, seatpost clamp and seat rails.
Iffley Rd is the only place I leave the bike locked 'outside'.

Afraid not....I don't ride with DPCC.

I almost mentioned it at the time but the day your lovely burls was posted, there was some guy almost in tears in the reception because his bike had just been nicked. I didn't overhear much of the conversation but I think it was supposedly locked up in main area of bike racks.
I'm not sure Iffley is much safer than anywhere else.

I don't doubt it. Which is why I am very careful and have the A22 set, and a 2kg sold secure gold lock.

Someone on a light blue steel frame, lock across his back riding from the parks road north on to Banbury road with speed at about 5 this afternoon. Anyone on here?

It might be a guy who works as a mechanic in a couple of local shops- I know he rides a light blue bike, but I can't recall whether it's fixed gear or not.

Lesson learned, I'll pay attention more closely next time. I suppose the fact that I said the bike was rapid means everyone wants to claim ownership
