The RS30s are the best of those deals by some distance, followed by the RS10s.
Cheers.
cough handbuilt cough
I'm always happy to build wheels (although I haven't tried a road set yet), but what wheelset would you build for £140 (even discounting labour)?
i got my openpro/dtcomp/phil wood wheelset for £290
That is very good value actually.

Not really in the market for anything that pricey. Just saw the PX deal and was curious.
Next handbuilt build will be A23's on Mack's.

I'm building a new roadbike (Canyon Ultimate AL) and want a solid set of training wheels. I've got a full Ultegra group with 32 hole hubs and was thinking of buying a pair of Mavic Open Pro CD and DT Competition spokes. That'll cost around £100. Can I find something better for that price?
-

I doubt it. Sound like excellent training wheels apart from the hubs not using sealed cartridge bearings (for maximum winter wet weather resistance). Having said that, they'll probably be fine for ages unless they get absolutely flushed out, and even then you can service & regrease them.

I have a pair of Mavis Ksyrium SL's with brand new rims for sale. Come with wheelbag and skewers, asking £400 but am open to offers. Going to put them on ebay next week.

ooooooooh.

I paid considerably more than that for the same wheels a little while ago.
Oh well. -
• #137
hate it when that happens

it's a bit annoying, but things are always going to be cheaper online, if I want something enough then I will pay to have it there and then.

Open Pro CD on 32H DA 7800 hubs £248 posted or make an offer on Ebay

^ bargain.
Fucks me off that you can't get a similar deal with Record hubs on Open Pro's (cheapest I've found is between £290-320). Seems to be with Campag that you always get less choice, and that the choice is less good. Humph

Looking for new wheels for my road bike (van Nicholas Yukon). Mainly going to be used for commuting club runs and the occasional audax/ light tour.
Been recommended open pro hope pro 3 build but I don't really get on with the hub noise at all. Alternatives are 105 open pros.
Any other recommendations?

I have Zipp 303 rims and have been saving up to get some hubs, would/should I use zipp hubs or is there a better option?
-

chris king, open pro?
He doesn't get on with hub noise so you suggest CK?

There are loads of companies that make good hubs. What is your budget?

was being facetious!

£120 - £200, I've never really bought/built a wheel bit by bit...was hoping this would be a cheaper option of owning 303's. I don't want to waste awesome rims with average or slightly above par hubs though.
i got my openpro/dtcomp/phil wood wheelset for £290 from velomine, hand built. the and i only had to pay £12 to HM customs ;-)
they are based in the states though, took 2 weeks delivery with usps.
