I just ordered these in anticipation for winter, hopefully they will be up to the job.

I'm also playing with those. The next step is this version (though twice the price).

How warm are they Iain? I'm hoping they are going to keep my fingers reasonably toastie this winter.
-

Not warm. The back part is mesh, so all breezy and airy. The fingers are okay, but now 'warm' in the peed-in-your-own-pants kind of sense of the word. Just play hard and you'll work up a sweat in your fingers.

Good thing I didn't chuck out my other gloves then, thanks for the info.

Have a look at Troy Lees.... Really well made with burly rubber knuckle protection.... Not sure which model i have, Dr Chan bought his recently sure he knows the model name....

just cos you got them free from a second hand bbq bin

I ride my old dirt jump gloves. 661's with the back mesh. Stick a set of silk glove liners under them and you won't have any problems. you'll be warm and comfy!

you can use silk lining gloves for warmth anytime, i find them more comfy when coupled with just windstopper gloves than bulky winter ones

BUMP [As close a thread topic as i could get..]
Right - **Armour
**With football, Cycling and polo all taking it's toll i am struggling to recover strong enough quick enough.. So to protect my knees i am need to get some padding - What ones would give me enough protection and flexibility for less than £20.
I don't want anything to big a clunky so i look like a nancy boy, just something that supports the knee and stops the worst of the impacts

Those are fucking huge in real life.
I have a pair at home you can try out if you like. -

done, cheers Em

You around this weekend?
-
• #69
a few people have these. They are not too bulky but still offer a good bit of protection. £10 over your budget though

@Em - i am out man, checking out an organic cheese farm in Growup Territory. could you pass them to the BigDaddy as i am catching up with him Monday
Those Federals look a little light on the padding, but the 661's are nice - i could go the extra cash but that means no elbow pads. to be fair i think Knee's come first

Greasy, I'll take them to the tournament this weekend, ask Wayne to remind me to give them to him.
-
• #74
Gabes, I was checking those out a while ago. Awesome gloves from what I've heard, just a shame that they're leather.

I have two pairs of knee pads... some smaller DJ ones and some larger veggie ones, can sell them on if you're interested..? (They're unused, although thinking about it, I should probably start using them.)
