I've ordered some lacrosse gloves to see how they go, as Rik pointed out they may not be ideal due to potential brake lever issues, but I decided it's worth finding out.
Will keep you all informed as to how I find them.

Same as the Hypnos - they're pretty much the same glove from what I can gather but I'd have to wait longer for the Warrior ones.
I guess they're expensive compared to cycling gloves but if they save a finger even once then I'd consider them paid for.

Top tip, wrap the thumb of your mallet hand in hockey tape as soon as you get them.
