the problem I see with all this Lacrosse, Cricket, etc.... gloves is that they are to bulky to work with the brake lever, now everybody have

You may have a point there Rik.

£40 buys a nice Thai grilled helmet.
You lot are weird, I tell ya... chuckles
-
• #159
not sure they'd stand up to much "armoured on the knuckle just to make you feel safe"
Make no mistake, these gloves are tough bastards... Its hard plastic with a bit of give, not soft rubber. They are good gloves...
Ever been paintballing? You can be hit in the hand fairly close and not feel it... -

The ice hockey gloves are no where near as flexible in the joints as the lacrosse gloves though?
Cricket gloves would probably work but I can't buy leather.
ice hockey gloves are shit, you cant move your hand at all! really rigid, the la crosse gloves are good, but huge, i seriously think you should check out motrobike gloves, they're designed for falls at big speeds!
and snoops, a dude here has got a regular bike helmet and just screwed a hockey mask cage onto it, im sure theres a way of making it detachable

I'm with max on this. Motorbike gloves have all the plastic bits and allow for good movement. Also double leather palms should prevent holes that I get so quickly on mtb gloves it's not funny.
But this does not helpeth the object. -
• #162
im sure there are a lot of synthetic motorbike gloves around
-
• #163
I'll keep looking Max but I haven't found any thus far.

Just bought these at Motoden, Kingsland Road:
They're wrongly priced on the web site, should have been £35 - he gave me them for £30. Last pair in Medium.
If anyone is planning to buy motorbike gloves, probably best to get them now; all the lightweight summer gloves are in the bargain bins - the winter gloves will probably be too thick (and are more expensive).

good advice
some cheap summer ones here
non vegan, sorry

this looks awesome, and it's called street fight - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/271/28772
this just looks like a good glove, no protection but reinforced fingers and thumbs, and minimal branding- http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/271/31434

how much and where? they look pretty well built, snot rag 'n all.
my work gloves are wearing a little quicker than i expected.
-

18.50 from machine mart or around 15 online.
they do different models (see the site), a thicker pair and a fingerless pair.
they are well built and feel tough. nice bit of proper padding on the knuckles, but everywhere else is just thick synthetic material. -

I've ordered some lacrosse gloves to see how they go, as Rik pointed out they may not be ideal due to potential brake lever issues, but I decided it's worth finding out.
Will keep you all informed as to how I find them.

they'll be fine. Loads of people play with ice hockey gloves in america, and they are very bulky
ha! :D
