You could always try and coax forumengers up your area by organising a ride out. It would probably have to be from somewhere in n.London though.

I'm moving back to herts (codicote) in a couple of weeks. Was wondering if there was any kind of scene. My family live in herts and I often ride out there, but never seen anything but sunday sunshine roadies in abundance.

Im moving back to north herts in a couple of weeks. Just outside of Stevenage. Whats these Welwyn track rumours about too?
-
• #61
Yeah Welwyn is a good track with a lot of fast youngsters who ride there. Since the festival of running and jumping they've seen a big uptake like a lot of clubs,
but you can still ride on it, but you've got to pay a couple of quid mid week when it's quiet. -
• #62
Nice, cheers mate. Actually never got myself onto a track yet (hold the hipster shouts) but keen to go have some fun.

Starting a new job in hatfield in Jan so interested too. I don't know that area at all as I live in South London at the moment. I'll still be living in London but spending a lot of time North of the M25.
-
• #67
I ride out there sometimes and hatfield is a nice ride from london. few different routes you can take too.
Batchwood? haha, i avoided that place in the 2 years I lived round there before haha.
Im keen to keep riding as much as possible. worried I will not though

I'm going to be back in the UK over Chrstmas and New Year and will be based between central London and Chesham/Berkhamsted Bucks/Herts border for the duration. (I mean will be going to and from not just somewhere in the middle!)
I would like to do the journey by bike a couple of times if possible, does anyone have any experience or knowledge of best routes?
cheers :)
-
• #73
ha oh yeah the good old galleria.
-
• #74
I would imagine chesham to be pretty nice and easy to be honest. Think you would ride into Enfield and then through wood green and finsbury park.
-
• #75
think chesham is over watford way isnt it? bit of a journey into central via enfield is it not
I did look in there, I can see a cambridge section but no Hertfordshire. Unless I'm blind, feel free to point me in the right direct and this thread can be deleted :)
